Default CANOPY

I am looking for a clear canopy for a Great Planes 1/3rd scale Christen Eagle. Does anyone
know where one can be located? I have tried fiberglass specialties, no luck. Thanks, Aframe2

I may be crazy for asking, but did you call Great Planes?

Do you still have the old canopy? I've done a lot of work with Fibertech N More (used to be Stan's Fiber Tech) and they will do whatever they can to help their customers. Their website (www.fibertechnmore.com) doesn't show the canopy you are looking for. But I know that Rick and Brenda will work with customers like you who need replacement parts for planes. If you still have the old canopy you can send it to them and they will reproduce it, even if the old canopy is in pieces they can reproduce it. Shoot them an email or give them a call and see if they can help you out.

I've received several canopies from them and they do a good job on them. I've got a canopy for the Top Flite P-51 and the Top Flite Bonanza and both are great quality.

Hope this helps

Ken

Thanks, Ken, I will send them an email. I do have the original canopy. Its in good shape,
but I need to take it off of the plane to update the cockpit and I'm afraid I will crack it up
taking it off the plane. Thanks, Aframe2

Jester, no I didn't call Great Planes, but I looked on their website and it said it was discontinued. I will call them,
maybe I will get lucky. Thanks, Aframe2

If you have a local hobby shop ask them to enquire for you
to see if part number GPMA2445 is available.

Hi,
I have a GP C. Eagle canopy, never used, also the flying wires set, also never used. I bought them thinking they would fit my Sky shark
Christen Eagle. They are too big. They are in like new condition, undamaged.
The canopy is over 16 " long and at its widest 9". If you want them send me a PM with a reasonable offer and they are yours.

Fiberglass Specialties does carry 1/3 canopies for both the the S1,S2 and the Christen Eagle. They are made for the Andy Sheber plans but would fit just the same. Look in the accessories for plans for Andy Sheber. I have them and they are real nice.

Yes I received your offer and sent a pm accepting the offer. You said you wanted to see a photo of the canopy.
