I wish he would have sold me the viper, I loved it, would be a prefect every day jet. I will try and make GA jets, my unit is shooting a gunnery around that time so maybe it will not conflict.

One more thing, Keith. Jose and I are going to Ga Jets. Can you come? You are welcome to tent with us.

Gears in and working really good, they are faster than I expected. The speed are pretty scale on this set, 3-5 secs up and down.

Yeah I was just working on that, hit bump in the road[&:] I had the servo arm on one of the valves and when I applied power it stripped it lol. No big deal but the bigger problem is the gear door ports are not regulated so for anyone using high voltage like me watch out. The gear door sequencers get there power from the receiver lead, which for is pumping out over 8 volts. I have a high voltage receiver connected, man those hs -81s move fast . This will not be a problem once I hook the Robbe power system up, the lead will come from a regulated 6.0 volt port. The motors for the gear have a different power source so 6 volts to the gear door valves and 7.4 volts to the motors. I was told you could program the gear doors with two up and one down with the programmer but I dont think this is case. It appears you can only change direction of each of the three ports, but I will read the instruction to make sure. Worse case I have to plug the gear door valve into the receiver so I can may the two front doors close after the gear is down. [8D]

Really nice. Can't wait to see it when you have the doors sequenced.

You may want to consider an electronic sequencer. I am using the Jettronic sequencer and it works great. Mode 3 programming would do exactly what you are needing to do. You could throw on a few EV valves and skip the servos. I think the voltage has to be below 7 volts for the unit though.

Gear controller has a built in sequencer, I was told it can be set to what I need but not sure it can. I opted not to use the electronic valves, I bought all 4 valves/servos for a quarter of what the 4 EVs would have cost. I just couldn't bring myself to pay 130 for one ev2 valve for such a small task to each his own I guess.

Okay finally figured out the gear door sequencer!!! I talked to Ron at down and locked because I couldn't get the doors to act right, i didn't know you can reverse the function of each valve for up and down positions. I thought you could only adjust the travel for end points.
So you DO NOT need anything other than the stock built in sequencer to do any of the fancy door setups!!

FB,
Do you have any idea why they don't have the front nose gear door closing with gear down a la the FS bird? I always wondered why they'd take the trouble to do scale rotating gear and then have the door hanging open. Not a diss, just an honest question.

You know I didn't notice the nose door closes as well, thats a easy fix I will just tie that gear door cylinder into the others that close. I may have to move that front strut, not sure.

okay I changed the nose gear door to close after the gear is down so now it is scale. I removed part of the bracket and flipped the part over and it works perfect. Looks more like the real one now.
Short video showing what I did/doing I will do another video tomorrow showing everything finished up.
It has been a crazy night about the time I was getting in the aircraft my wife called rushing my kid to the ER, he decided to try and cut up his carrots with a butter knife and slipped. I hate this sneaking not telling his parents stage, being mister independent[&o] First 5 stictches.

Thanks, slow going at the moment due to work but its coming along. I will make a video of my F-14 gear soon, I had them converted to electric as well. I wish I could get away from air all together I hate air lines every where.

Good job Keith. Looks like it's coming along nicely. Sorry about the little guy, I'm sure he didn't like getting those stitches.

This was by request to give more info on the gear door sequencer setup.
Sortegon, I will probably just use one channel per and that way I can do a hold on one while I start the second.
