JR 3810 Flap Operation
Hi
I used the following on my Spectre:
Figures from my data sheet.. (yes, I actually wrote the figures down)
Mix 2, Flap>Flap, Ele>F, L= -100, 1= -100, 2= -47, 3=INH, H= 0
Mix 5, Flap>Flap, Ele>F, 0%, 0%
Flap pot travel 30%
Use flap pot to adjust the retracted position.
Gordon.

Try This
I don't like relying on the flap knob to stay in a particular position. If it gets bumped or accidently moved you could be in for a suprise. I recommend deactivating the knob and programing the switch for the desired settings. I use about 15 deg. for take off, and 45 deg. for landing.
Here's how I do it, which is pretty simple:
1) Go to [PROG.Mix1] (or you could instead use Mix2) and mix Pot6>FLAP.
Set all the points (L-1-2-3-H) to whichever setting gives the desired
take off flap position. The SW: should be set to ELE>F.
This way you use the 3 position switch in the forward (ELEV) position
for take off and the flap knob is essentially deactivated since you'll
get the same output regardless of the knob position.
2) Go to the [LANDING] screen and set the full flap position you want to
use for landing. If you need any offsetting elevator trim that can be
set on this same screen. These settings are activated any time you put
the 3 position switch toward you, in the LAND position.
Now you are programed to use the ELEV position for takeoffs, the middle
position (no flaps) for normal flying, and the LAND position for
landing.

Excuse my English, you tell me what values (L-1-2-3-H) I have to set it equal to yours? (15 deg. for take off, and 45 deg. for landing)
thanks

His will probably be different from yours due to servo arm lenghts, control horn lengths, etc The exact figures are something you will have to determine on your own.

RE: JR 3810 Flap Operation
As mentioned in step 1) above; set Pot6>FLAP. Rotate the flap knob to highlight L position. You will have to try different numbers until the flaps are in the desired take off position. Then set that same number for 1-2-3-H. The curve will then look like a straight horizontal line.
