DoYou Use Midwest Products Aero Gloss
I have some balsa sheeting over landing gear I want to paint. I've been told to use Aero Gloss Balsa Fillercoat and Sanding Primer. I also see they have something called Prep Primer. All these products come in very small bottles; i.e., 1 or 3.5 oz. I have to paint what amounts to a little less than 2 square feet. Do you thin this stuff? Will the 3oz bottles do it?
Can someone outline the process for using this stuff and which of the three products I need and in what order to use them?
Thanks, Steve

I wouldn't use these. The trouble with Aerogloss products is that they are incompatible with just about anything else you might want to use. Back when Aerogloss came in colors you could deal with that problem by using Aerogloss exclusively, but you can't get the colored stuff any more. Nitrate dope (thinned 50/50) is an excellent sealer. Nitrate dope mixed with talcum powder is a good filler. It isn't fuelproof, but just about any fuelproof paint is OK to put over nitrate dope. For details, do a google search or get a copy of Harry Higley's "There Are No Secrets."

So Aero Gloss will not work with the above mentioned paint?
I looked at what I have available I have some Coverite Balsarite Conditioner - maybe just forget the paint and cover them.
Is there something from Lowes or Home D that would work? We only got one hobby shop and a Michaels; neither will have dope.

I use Rustoleum and Krylon a lot, since I fly electric. I like the Duplicolor #101 Hi build primer to fill with. It builds up, fills good, and sands easy.
