Ed,
What about the EF-1 you told me about ?? I haven't seen anything else about it except what you said about having 10 or 12 people coming to fly them !!! What plane and motor set up do you use ?? I'm sure there would be more people come if something was published about it..

The only thing about the EF-1 guys was from Rick. All I know is that he asked if they could also race during the event since we were doing a 2 day event. I assumed he knew those who would want to race. Other than that I know very little except talking with RIck about the grass and that if they came we would cut it lower to allow them to take off or get some matting. I haven't talked to him except just before he left for the NATS. I have 4 plaques ordered if they do come and race. Other than that I don't know anything more.

I''ve been working on my countdown clock and its ready for the race. I got the remote working with the pushbuttons on top that way if one or the other fails there will still be a backup. I don't anticipate that but it's good to have. Here are some YouTube links to view my clock. The horn is muted so it wouldnt make me deaf .

The first pic is of Jonathon and a WAAM member from Tuscaloosa, this was Jonathon's first CLub40 race and he didnt dissapoint... good job Jonathon!!
Next is Team Battman, thats Tim Batt on left and Ernie Duffey starting his engine, from the NARCA club up in N. Alabama. On the ground is David Phillips and( me )John McGowan, showing my wider side to the camera!
Next two pics is the volunteers from WAAM working the right and left pyon lines , we could not have had the race without you volunteers, so thank you again guys!!

Greg Doe from Tennessee getting ready to run a fly-off tie breaker race with yours truly to see who goes into the A Main race. Yep, you guessed it, Greg prevailed in the tie breaker.
Last shot is David Phillips firing up the Monster Energy machine , getting ready to battle it out

Rick Grim tearing down all the airplane engines for tech inspections that were in the A Main race.....hopefully he didnt find my hidden nitrous bottle
Rick is our District AMA rep and we are proud to have him come to our events, and not only that, he's a good pilot and competitor too!!
