looking really nice, Chad! I am in the final stages of finishing the spinner plug...this one is from solid pine and will be true! I will send you pics when it is ready for mold forming...I was up in sedona last week and met some of the guys at the Central Arizona Modelers field ( my future club)

My pleasure Jeff and thank you. Assuming it flies well plans will be made available. I'm doing my best to put as much detail into the plans while I build the prototype so that their won't be a huge amount of clean up and correction required once the airplane has flown. This is tougher than it sounds! The basic design work is actually the easy part as I'm sure you are aware. Getting the plans from there to a marketable standard of finish is the truly time consuming part.

Count me in also. So far two of my favorite want to see done planes are coming due soon: Dave Andersen's Ki-45 Nick that Jeff is working on now and this Macchi 202. Life is good.

Now we need to start an email campaign to let Vic Catalasan know that we're going to need a glass man to make the accessories for this thing. There is going to be a BUNCH of glass parts and some of them are rather complex. I can make the plugs but I sure as heck don't have the right stuff to make the molds and lay up the parts! You listening out there Vic?

Does your offer of a pony for a photo of a Macchi C.202 with a bomb rack over on Hyper Scale apply to the Macchi C.205, too, or does it have to be a 202? Here's a pic of a 205.
The 202 (and 205) rarely, if ever was fitted with a bomb rack. It's role was bomber interception and top cover for Macchi C.200s and CR.42s flying ground attack. Those planes flew the ground attack missions because of their radial engines.
The C.205 in the photo is in the process of being sent to Egypt to fight against Israel in Israel's war of independence. Macchi sold several batches of 205s to Egypt. In that war they did fly both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.
I do have a couple of photos of the Macchi bomb rack it you're interested.

The offer applies to either the 202 or 205 but I'm afraid there will be no pony for you since my request was for a picture of the airplane with bombs attached not just the racks!
I actually have a couple of pictures and a sketch of the rack but nothing really spectacular so I would be happy to receive anything that you might have to offer. My customer is wanting functional bomb racks installed despite the fact that the airplane apparently rarely, if ever, carried any external loads. I have seen one pic of a 205 with drop tanks but I have yet to find a single photo of either a 202 or 205 with bombs. Thanks for all your help as usual by the way. I will be putting the tailwheel information you sent me to good use soon as I need to get one made in the near future. I was hoping to have the Macchi on her wheels by the end of the summer. Not sure if I will make that deadline or not but I won't be too far behind.

I actually found a photo of a Macchi C.202 with a bomb rack (but no bomb):

The bomb is light grey from the leading edge of the fins back, and the nose color differs by type (general purpose, anti personnel, shipping, etc.).
