ZIROLI 114" C-45 TWIN BEECHCRAFT
Presently, I already have a C-45 but it's about 16 years old and a "little long on it's tooth" so I want to build a new one.
Along with the B-25, I also ordered all the parts for the C-45 from Ziroli.
I ordered a full wood kit from PCK but it will be 5-6 weeks for delivery.
No rush as it's a 'next winter' project.
The gear is robarts and I'll be using G-38's.
I'll probably make the center wing, removable from the fuse.

I've had a set of plans for this aircraft for about 3 years now, but did'nt have the space to build it, Ive been waiting to purchase my own house and now that I have I'm very close to pulling the trigger on this and buying a short kit here in Australia from Laser Cut Kits. I'll be watching this thread closely
Good luck with the build samparfitt

RE: ZIROLI 114
Sam, I too had a twin beech for many years, actually I completed it in 2000. After seven years I lost it to a battery failure. This fall I cut a kit and have been making good progress building it. Hopefully I will be able to finish it for next summer.
I can't remember if there were any written directions that went with the plans. I know some of Ziroli plans had notes on the prints and some had printed directions but I can't find any directions for the Beech. Do you have any?
I am looking forward to seeing your build.
Charlie

Sam:
Remind me at either Fond Du Lac or Muncie to get all the info from you on this plane/plans and kit cutter.
MIGHT try this as a build some day.
Always want(ed) a twin.

Won't be starting this until this winter but while at the local county airport, I found a C-45(D-18) sitting in open storage so I took 'walk around' pictures and a video.

RE: ZIROLI 114
Great pictures !!
Thanks fore putting them her
note: this is not a beechcraft D18 (like the ziroli plan) but a Beech E18S-9700 (biggest differance is the height of the fuselage, the shape of the nose and the wingtips (square)

RE: ZIROLI 114
thanks for the info: I thought something didn't look right: I saw the landing lights on the wing and the nose did look different. Hopefully, the panel lines, for the most part, will be identical to the C-45! I didn't know there were multi-versions. I haven't been able to find any books on the twin beech.

Too bad someone is just letting this plane just rot away like they are. I noticed the flat tires and the mildew on the fuse. I would love to have it if no one eles does.
Just my observation.

hi there I've just started this plane . how is yours coming along. is there any changes to be made. I'm looking at moving the rudder servo down to the tail to get rid of some of the bell cranks or use to thin wing servos mounted in the rudders. any thoughts on that.
cheers jon

Jon,
It's still on the back burner, although I've built a 1/3 scale Nieuport 28, started a Ziroli P-51, just finished sheeting a Ziroli B-25 and next is a 110" P-47. Since I've already got a C-45 (though 20 years old), it hasn't been on my 'short' list.
I'd go with the direct servo method on the tail feathers. My 118" B-25 had the same bell crank method and I converted it.
I'm a big fan of short servo linkages.
See around post # 186 for elevators/rudders set up that I used:
