Thanks, for opening my eyes a bit. Yours looks really nice. I just love these Mulligans and Monocoupes. I thought at the right scale, the Moki 150 would be perfect. I assume there would be considerable difference flying Gee Bee and Mulligan. Hmm...probably depends on wing loading. I guess a heavy Mulligan can be just as challenging as Comp Arf Gee Bee. I'm thinking being a high wing..would be more stable. Anyway, that Evo 9-99 certainly looks part. It's nearly as heavy as Moki 150. What is the wingspan of your Mulligan? If I'm correct Wendell's is about 98". I could enlarge it a bit. This would mean I would have to make my own cowling and wheel spats. Not really a big deal for an old scratch builder.

Ross, that video link you sent me is very nice. ZDZ160..seems like a lot of power driving that plane. It looks very scale. Just a bit too big for me.

Ah yes, nearly forgot, there's also Springfield Hall Buldog I had in mind as another alternative. Anyone makes plans for these? Seems easier for canopy but trickier for the main wing centre piece.

Now that I have given it more consideration, your Moki 150 could indeed be a good choice for a 98 inch DGA-6.
Mine weighs 25 pounds and has a 95 inch span and is NO PROBLEM to fly and land... NO COMPARISON to my Gee Bee[X(]

I think I will give it a go. It will be a while before I start on this. Currently I'm starting to build Wendell's Art Chester's Jeep. Well, it doesn't fall into radial category but I just love the lines of this racer.
The Mulligan or Hall Bulldog will be next.

Yeeeeeeah that's exactly the one. I'm going to build this one very light and will be all green. It takes me ages because I never use laser cut short kits. I cut everything by hand.

This radial thing is like an addiction. I had a CMPro Zero nib for my 325R5 but changed my mind and sold it to a fellow club member a few months ago. Yesterday went to Austar Models to look at the ESM warbirds, particularly the Seafury, but that 84" Gee Bee, as soon as I saw the Blue and White one it was love at first sight :-).(Actually, I had done lots of research re wing area, engine weight, cowl dia etc etc... Same as the HobbyLobby one made by Green Models.) Strange that I couldn't find any YT Vids of them with radial engines. All gassers, even down to 26cc. Hmm, might need a bit of lead in the tail, we'll see.
I recently ordered a spark kit for my 200R3 (in 68" SU-31). Adrian at CH Ignitions is making up one of his new 3 cyl CDI systems with 1/4x32 plugs to suit the 200R3. The plan is to run straight 82% methanol & 18% oil and NO nitromethane. The spark ignition should improve power due to accurate timing, fuel consumption will drop, and the idle will certainly be lower and more reliable. In other words, the spark will make up for the removal of the nitro. Well that's the theory and I can hardly wait.

Yes, this Gee Bee might (will) be a good thing, I really like the colour. I have PM'ed some forumites who posted pics of this size Gee Bee in the Gallery to see what engines they are using and if any CG balance weight is needed etc due to the short nose of the Gee Bee. It seems most are 26cc to 50+cc gassers, a few nitro powered (one even with a Saito 170R3 !) with some weight needed in the nose even with batteries etc moved forward.
I reckon if I can put everything behind the wing, batteries, glow driver, Rx, whatever, I may only need a bit of weight in the tail to get the CG right. The 325R5 at 2.6 kg all up will easily fly the CMPro 83" Zero at 22lbs, so with a similar wing area and probably less all up weight, the Gee Bee should be fine. That will add it to the list of planes suited to the mid size radials, probably even the EVO-777.
I have to get a couple of other jobs out of the way first, but Plan-A is to set up everything in the plane except the engine and then see what is needed to balance. That will be the real world test. If it looks like being a Serious No-Go, then for Plan-B I have an FPE 3.4ci 56cc Gasser at 1.95kg, but I really don't expect or want to go there...

Did you mean to say that your browser bookmarks aren't working with the new software? If so, I would guess that's because this is a totally new RCU. All of the old forum software is gone. I was noticing redirects this weekend when it was up for a few minutes here and there. Either way you can PM me and I'll put it in the list of things that need correcting for you.

BTW, I think the "Submit Reply" and "Preview Post" buttons should be in the middle of the page, not tucked away over on the right, usually off the screen where you can't see them. Annoying...

There are quite a few new locations and functions for sure. It is different and we'll have to just learn the new software. When I first got to try out the beta I didn't like it. I thought the old format, button locations, etc was better but now I think I was wrong about vBulletin. I can see the power it has over the old RCU. This is so much better and more modern. Let's give it time. When we get everything migrated into vBulletin and all of the problems fixed we can start talking about the look and feel. Anyone can contact me via PM about it and we'll bring that up when the dust settles down.

Try Ken's method including the dns history wipe:

If you are on a Windows computer create a Command prompt (Windows Key + r), and then type "cmd". In the command box type in "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter (this will flush your DNS cache). Now open back up your browser and try to log into RCU. if the new forums still don't pull up type ctrl + F5 to force a refresh on your browser. If you still have problems email me: [email protected]
