I think it was covered with Ultracoat, I'd check with HL though.

It's always hard to tell when looking at a picture on a computer monitor.
The yellow definitely looks more like Cub Yellow than any other yellow film.
If it is UltraCote, I am thinking the blue looks a lot like like Deep Blue (HANU873) even though the picture on http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Def...ProdID=HANU873 does not look that close. The blue on my first PT-60 was deep blue.

I think the royal blue was more purple than that picture, but it is hard to tell.

Im aposed to useing ultracote becaus you canot use the windex method. that will be mighty tricky with the blue trim on this plane not being able to apply it and slide it around. IF any blue monokote, which would match best? Or any other brand that can be applied with windex?

I have a roll of sapphire blue so I brought a sample piece up from the shop along with a sample of Monokote cub yellow to compare to your photo. As stated "it is hard to tell when looking at a picture on a computer monitor", but I think your first guess of royal blue and cub yellow is a close as you can come. The sapphire blue sample looked darker than blue on the plane in the picture and the royal blue in the monokote color chart (I don't have any royal blue) looks to me to be the best match. I have insignia blue and it is much darker than even the sapphire blue and is for sure not close to the blue on the plane. If the covering on the plane shown is Ultracote not Monokote then even the two cub yellows will be a little different. Go with the royal blue and cub yellow and don't show anyone the photo you posted. It will look good!
