22cc McCulloch help (gas)
I'm attempting to resurrect my old Dumas Scarab that has a 12 yr old 22cc McCuloch engine. The engine is in very good shape, as it hasn't been seen on the water for 7 years, but I'm looking to upgrade the carb to a larger, high flowing unit. I've heard a Walbro WA167A would be a good upgrade over stock. Does anyone know if this is true and/or where to purchase one or get a similar product that'll work for my application?
Additionally, I need an exhaust header (tuned pipe adapter) for the same engine. Any ideas? A water inlet on the exhaust header would be ideal...
Thanks!

That Walbro 167 is sold as an upgrade carb. Saw it somewhere on the web tonite. It was around 30 bucks. Can't remember where the heck I saw it though!! I was pokin' around lookin' for info on gas motor mods. Try a search for ""Homelite conversion" or "Mac conversion" then just start following links, you'll find it.

Thanks for your input!. I'm most likely gonna get the 167 and cross my fingers that it is a direct bolt on.
Does anyone know if manufacturers change the bolt pattern when they create a new carb/engine? Or, is it safe to say that a carb is a carb [for the common gas R/C boating application] and can be mounted on pretty much any small 2-cycle engine?
