Help me prioritaze.
[sm=confused.gif]
Hi,
Can anyone help me to prioritize my projects.
I'm planning to go to the market with very close to scale .40 - .60 size war birds.
In which order should I apply my effort?
Here is my wish list:
Polikarpov I-16
Polikarpov I-153 (bipe)
Polikarpov Po-2 (bipe)
Mikoyan & Gurevich MIG-3
Lavochkin, Gorbunov, Gudkov LaGG-3
Lavochkin La-11
Petlyakov Pe-2
Tupolev TB-1 (R-5)
Tupolev Tu-2
Ilushin Il-10
and two Ducted fans
Yakovlev Yak-15
Ilushin Il-28
Please help.

RE: Help me prioritaze.
If you take out the designers last name, that will be the plane's designation.
And if you want to know more about them copy and paste the name into GOOGLE search.
There is tons of info about every plane that I mentioned.
Thanks

RE: Help me prioritaze.
No doubt about, i will start with policarpov I-16, best know here in spain with the names of "mosca" or "Rata", i dont know if somebody makes kits of this bird, but its very nice. I think the only flying examples (real ones) are in New Zealand where a bunch of retired pilots encharge 5 or 6 airplanes in the USSR ten or fifteen years ago.
Diego Garcia.

I suggest Mig-3, then the Ploy I-16. I will build a 10 foot Rata soon...in fact, I think I bought the I-16 plans from you....

RE: Help me prioritaze.
Wow, very nice list, Mihaj.
Why did you leave out the wartime Lavockins (La-5/La-5FN/La-7)? They may be more popular than the post-war La-11...
I also haven't seen anyone do an early Yak-1 (with the old-style canopy and high rear fuselage), or a Yak-7.
For me the most interesting ones in your list would be:
I-16
LaGG-3
Mig-3
And twins:
Pe-2 (or -3)
Tu-2
These are all on my personal scratchbuilt "to-do" list - one day when I have more time
Cheers

I think about La-11 because it's simpler to model relative to La-5 and La-7. May be later. I wish I have more time.
As far as Yaks, My plan is to design Yak-9. It will be very easy to modify to any of those you mentioned.
Thanks for your attention to this thread

Hi Mike...We are in the process of drawing ribs in to the I-16 plans to make a wood, built up wing over a foam wing.

I can offer my help. We can generate all ribs in 3D.
If you are interested check my thread on Sig Sukhoi wing kit.
What are you planning for landing gear?

I'd like to see any of these airplanes on the market but I think 1/5 scale is the way to go. .40-.60 size are just too small for this day and age. Don

So far Mig-3 is #1
LaGG-3 #2
I-16 #3
Please post some more wish lists.
Thanks

I will probably use a set of home made retracts that i have that came out of a nosen p-47. Just need to change the retract angle. I'll check the info on CAD. Thx

RE: Help me prioritaze.
The I-16 is one of my favorite warbirds also. I really like the designs of Communist block airplanes. So much so I own a Chinese YAK. I still think the market for the 80" or so size is the growing segment of the scale crowd. Electrics are the biggest draw though so do some of those to pay the bills and do a couple of big planes for the guys that want them. Heck a micro scale Rata would be pretty cool. Don
