I have a Funtana and a new TT Pro 50 Hely to test on with Cam Carbon Prop 12,6x4 (1 ounce weight). My old TT Pro 46 turned the same prop at 12400 on ground on 7% nitro fuel, hovering my Xtreme Ripmax slightly more than half trottle, I will see the Pro 50 on 20% nitro, with home extended standard muffler and larger exaust hole.........
Cheers.

I have seen some of these fly with an YS 63 and the combo is awesome. I too own an ys 63 and even though it is not as powerful as the Satio 91 it is not left behind much. It is also lighter to boot. Remember the satio is around 20 ounces with muffler and the YS 63 is at like 17.8 ounces. Either would be an great combo that does not lack in power.

Hi Kyle,
You have probably been asked this question about a million times already, but I have to ask again... How is your funtana setup in regards to CG and surface throws? If you have already posted this info somewhere else let me know where. I searched but couldn't find anything. By the way, the video of your funtana is very impressive, thanks for sharing.

My Funtana with the YS-63 was a perfect match. It did it all. I've seen the Saito 91 on a UCD 60 and it powered it perfectly. There is such a thing as over powering! Mine was just over 5 lbs. The .63 turns a14x4w @11,400.

Servos
elevator- Tower Hobbies standard servo with Du Bro Heavy duty arm
Ailerons- Futaba 3004 BB with Du Bro Heavy Duty arms
Rudder- Hitec High Torque with Du Bro Heavy duty arm
Throttle- Tower Hobbies Standard with standard arm
All Stock Hardware.
engine- YS .63
Prop- Master Airscrew 13x6 K-series
Fuel- Wildcat 20%/YS 20/20
here is a pic of the throw on my Elevator. I could sqeeze out some more, but there in would just be an AirBrake
I got as much from my rudder as i could without hiting the Ele, and Ailerons are pinned.
Hope all this helps

sorry, i forgot CG. it is 5.5'' back from the LE at the wingroot.
the Funtana is set up for one servo on Elevator, and one servo on Rudder. if you look at my picture, the servo there is for the rudder. On the other side of the fuse there is a servo for the Elevator.

I just flew my Funtana for the first time and it was no fun tana . The engine shut off just after take-off heading straight up it fell off and crashed . Three hours later it was fixed. No big deal, however the big deal is this 72 OS non-fuel injected 4 stroke has stalled numerously on steep asents in a Pizazz . What gives ? Should I buy the fuel injected version or what ? Jeff

i mount all my tanks on the CG and then run a VP-30 pump it sounds like you are being starved for fuel do you know how to adjust the low end screw it sounds like you could be lean. Also how does the plane act if you hold in with the prop toward the sky and move the throttle around?

Excuse me. I do not mean to be rude or anything, but u r stating that the Saito 91 with 15% goes 9,200 and the 100 with 30% goes 10,200. Try using the 30%, then post again.I have this setup, Saito 91 15x4W and 30% cool power and it goes 10,050 running a bit on the rich side.
ORIGINAL: Balsa+Nitro
I fly the Funtana with the Saito 100, and another guy at my club flys with the Funtana with a Saito .91. Mine with the 100 smokes the 91, the other guy wants a 100 now. Zac West flys the 100. Mine weighs 5.89 lbs with 1,900 mAh Li-Ion, DS811 servos and mini on throttle, carbon gear, 8-32 SHCS axles, foam wheels, and no cowling or wheel pants, and the 100. Funtana cowling weighs 3.82 oz, not worth it in my opinion. The Saito 91 on 15% fuel spins a 15x4W at 9,200, the Saito 100 on 30% spins the 15x4W at 10,200. I run mine a little extra rich, which keeps the RPM down to 10,000. It's just light enough with the 100, and a rocket ship strait up. Will just do vertical snaps all day, not sure if the 91 could do this. 91 has plenty of power though, don't get me wrong. My first Funtana had the 72 and that was enough, but if you want to have a real good time and impressive vertical go with the 100. Hope this helps.
