Autogyro Blades
Are you able to use wooden heli blades for an auto gyro? I was thinking of using 550mm on a .60 size airplane. I can't determine whether or not 2,3,or 4 blades...

RE: Autogyro Blades
Unfortunantly you cannot.
Heli blades are useally symetrical where auto blades are flat bottomed. Yes there are flat bottom heli blades but then you run into the weight problem.
Your best bet is to make your own or buy them from aerobalsa.

I'm with Rick on the Aerobalsa blades! They really are great! Outstanding quality and are designed for autogyros. If you are going to buy a set of blades, get them from Aerobalsa. Mine spin-up very easy and quick!

RE: Autogyro Blades
Hi 4techman,
There is help that I have offered. However it is in back isues of RCM.
These would be for sizeable gyros, 40 powered and 5 to 6 lb craft.
Blade hanger>1/98 RCM Infinite control rotor head>11/2000 RCM
Giro V report> 2/2000
Precise, quick assemble rotor blades>internet> modelairplane news.com
Good to see you, have fun and good luck!
