RE: Flair Corsair
Take it easy mate ! Try contacting:
International Hobbycraft Co., Inc.
2890 Dundee Rd.,
Northbrook, IL 60062-2502
USA.
Phone: 847-564-9945,
Fax: 847-564-9951
That's for Robart Retracts, maybe they can steer you in the right direction.
Have you done a search on the GiantScale Planes (GSP) version of your &$£%$%(* thing ? You may want to, there's been plenty of problems with the center wing section. I've flown two of them, one the center delaminated but was replaced by GSP and the other the novice owner folded the wings on an early self exploration mission.

RE: Flair Corsair
Hi there,
Try calling SMC on 01903 207525.
These guys have probably one of the best shops in the UK. I use them all the time and their mail order service is excellent. They do stock some Robart gear, but I am sure if they don't have what you want they can get it.
Happy hunting.

RE: Flair Corsair
Hi F16 Jockey,
I'm building the Flair Corsair too and am having the same problem. I've narrowed it down to 2 choices - Robart 615's and Unitracts. There are several threads on this site about suitable retracts for Corsairs & P40's. Some slag off the Robarts, and some have had no problem. It seems to be down to your engineering skills as to whether you can install them correctly and perform any remedial work that may be required prior to installing them. Correct setup is vital if you don't want them to collapse.
I've used Robart 605's on my Flair Spit, and apart from the wire's bending I've had no problems with the operation of them. So I'm tempted to go with Robart again. The added complication is that there are some people on here that are developing exactly what we need - it's just a question of whether you can wait for them as they could be months away from production.
I've got to order something soon, just as soon as I get the flaps sorted.
Pete

RE: Flair Corsair
BTW - SMC are very expensive compared to the likes of Inwood Models (01480 411519) who are probably as cheap as you're gonna get and are excellent for mail order.

Guys
I always like to buy one of these planes from Flair,
But couldn't find any kind on info about the building
as well as flying characteristics of this warbird???
Need your subjective opinions about this plane???
What is the size of the box...????
Was thinking about the shipping cost to my address??
Cheers
