Using a Spin Right 4" aluminum spinner from Cermark. About $23.00 plus $2.00 for adapter nut. I also used the spinner that came with Patty and no problem. Have 34 flights on my Patty with about half the flights on each spinner.

CrazyRay Iam using a brand new os 160 with a 17x8 apc prop. Like I said plane weights 14.2 lbs. I used a scale to check thrust on engine it was producing 16.5 lbs. doing the old stand by test to make sure engine wasnt going to lean out and quit, after starting engine I had a helper pont the nose straight up at full throttle. just for grins he let go and the plane started to climb away. He grabed it and I cut the throttle back we finished the pre flight and took off. plane has a better than 1:1 power to weight ratio. and when enginr is good and broke in I will switch to an 18-10 apc prop that should really help out a lot. As far as a pull pull rudder I dont have any info I used the 2 servo set up. So far I like it.

LeeL, Thanks for the info. I am shooting for a weight of 13.5lb with half the weight coming from a pull-pull rudder setup. The plane should balance without added lead up front. This one change alone will save 6oz (servo & extensions 2.5oz and lead 3.5oz) The tail wheel rods will also be changed to springs for steering like my Sig 300XS (1 oz). Only 4 oz to go wish me luck!!!!

Wagstaff Engine
Hello Deadsticker,
We fly at the airport here in Chico. The Super Tiger is almost 1lb heavier than the OS BGX 1. The ST checks in at 4.7 Hp and the OS at 4.1. Have you flown yours ? What are you running ?

Hey everyone, my "Patty" has taken to the sky. Yesterday her had her first maiden flight!!!!! What a absoluely wonderful plane!!!
We fired up the ZDZ 40 with Pitts muffler, sounded great, adjusted the carb to bring the top end power close to peak, and did full range check with the engine running.
Just for grins I flip on the smoke for a few seconds while range checking 55 paces away. The plane and the person holding her still disappeared into a huge cloud of smoke! Absolutely awsome!
First flight was rather short, just to get it trimed and test the "feel" for the sticks, the smoke system, and landing approach. It produced tons of dense smoke, even got an applause from the audience. :stupid:
The Second flight was even better, everything set up in high rate for normal flying according to the manual, except the rudder was set for max throw (6-1/2"). I have 3D throws dialed into the dual rate switches, but will wait a few flights to get used to the plane first befoe turning the wild rates loose. I performed a knife edge loop, with the smoke on, quben 8's, vertical 8's, 4 point rolls, stall turns, Torque rolls, loops, and a few vertical tubles, even one that looked like a horizontal knife edge spin!!!
The wind was 10-20 MPH, about 20 Degrees cross wind, landing approachs were wonderfully slow, predictable, and nearly hovered down in the available wind, bounce once, added just a touch of power and she settled right in.
I'm running a Zinger Pro 22-8 prop, ballance point is the center of the wing tube, weight is 15 lbs 8 oz.

Solution to wing tube problem on the GP PW Extra 300
I got mine Extra with the same problem, and after a while I figure a solution....I think:
Take a 3/8" x 24" dowel and rap one of the tips with sponge, about the last 4 inches of the tip. Rap enough sponge until duplicate the ID of the carton tube. Secure the sponge with masking tape in the end where the dowel exit. It will look like a giant Q-Tips!
Take a full sheet of 250 sand paper, roll it and insert it into the carton tube in the fuselage. Help the sand paper to unroll inside the tube until match completely the ID of the tube.
With care, insert the giant Q-tip inside. The pressure of the sponge with expand evenly the sand paper. Then star to stroke all the way. The sand paper is suppose to move along with the Q-tips.
I worked fine for me and the tube fix with no problem at all.
Good luck!
