That must of been some wall Dennis! Those wing panels must be mega strong.
Did a short demo with the Vision today. Was only its 4th flight so wasn't pushing it too much but it went well. Does lovely rolling harrier loops.

RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D
I got a good flight on mine finally, fighting motor, turns out my rubber stopper in tank was eroded away. But, got it going today and hammered on it, I really like it. Flies light. hovers easy, walls good, very stable and slow. Will fly more this week and look forward to it.

Orbitz is showing a $640.00 US from London to Atlanta, and the Nall is only a couple of hour drive (on the right side of the road)
Thats less then you have in servos in that plane.
You make it there, you can fly mine. Thats an Angus only offer folks. And have your Avitar DJ chick spin us up some new mixs to fly too

Thats Ann Savage in the pic. Looks as good in real life as she does there [8D] I'll drop her a line and see if she mix you up some new hard house track to fly to

Prince (P-Tip) 22-8. It has those tips that sweep back. Not the fastest spin up, however it works great for hovering and very quiet.

Ic. Im on a Menz 22X8. The amount of tip noise of this thing is unreal. Great for freestyle but not quiet. Read somewhere that you should run petrol engines in for 100 tanks on a smallish prop then move up a size. Don't know whether thats true or not but i'll stick with it for the mo.

Gotcha.
Was thinking maybe 23X8 Mejzlic or 23X8 NX. Any of you guys got any experience of these props. Next size up in Menz range is 24X8 which is quite a step up.

I was using the 23 x 8 Mejlik on the DV and am now using it on the V. Pulls it very well indeed. Tends to climb a bit in the hover if you goose it a bit too much. :-)

RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D
I am running a new NX 22x8 on my vision. I really like it so far, its quiet, I was running a 22x8 Menz, I cannot really tell the difference. I have a 23x8 due to come someday here, maybe that will be even better for hovering? Have to wait and see. I hate to say it, but I find that the rudder may need more authority? which suprises me as how darn big it is. I have a direct link 8611 on it too, no pull pull. I dunno, have to fly it some more, its strong, but not as strong as I thought it would be. Anybody else feel the same way?

RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D
Interesting comment Barry B. I was thinking of getting a Mejzlic 23X8. Also considering a NX 23X8 but will probably only buy one if i break the Menz.
Ive got a direct link 8511 (same as 8611) at the back of the fuz and rudder authority seems fine. Didn't seem awesome but ive only had 4 flights and have yet to try things like knife edge loops so don't really know for sure.

RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D
yeah guess what I mean is, the rudder works, but I flew my buddies EF yak right before, and the rudder is extremely powerful on that plane, so, when I flew mine and tried knife edge loops, it did not seem as easy? I will have to bang out some more time on the plane as well. I only have about 20 flights on it so far. For as big as the rudder is, I thought it would almost be like a Tensor, stupid powerful, but it does not seem to be.

RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D
I don't think it's your servo... just the nature of the Vision. Maybe the long tail moment? I had the same issue with mine, although I hadn't max'd out the throws yet. I still had about 15% more throw left to add, which I will have enabled for my next flight.
I found the rudder on my Vision to be good, but certainly not "off the chain" like a foamy rudder, or what I expect my EF Yak to be. I'm running the HS5995TG on my rudder, which has 333oz of torque... so I don't think that servo strength is the issue. Especially considering it's a direct pushrod that is so short.

Yeah, the Yak feels almost like a foamy rudder, nice stuff. I do not have a Yak, but after flying my buddies, I will at some point.
I think its the long fuse/tail moment doing the downplay of the rudder. that fuse grabs alot of air, just taxy it on a windy day, and man, its a real pain.
O well, besides that, she is pretty darn sweet flying, so its not a huge deal.
