BVM F-100 hit by missile... Explodes in mid-air
This just in... A BVM F-100 was hit by a missile today while taking off from Lakeland International. Pilot managed to eject safely, but no one has taken responsibility for firing the missile.
My original photo was skillfully Photoshopped by Mike B aka Minnflyer in the Digital photography section of RCU... Thought it was pretty funny.

What I do is try to come in out of the sun when they are taking off or landing, that is when they are most vulnerable, and when the speed advantage of the BVM F100 versus my Kamdax Mig is less of an issue. One pass, and I am out of there.

Seeing that picture reminded me of a scene in the movie X-15. Charles Bronson was flying chase in F-100 and lost engine/hydraulic control at low altitude, it's amazing footage and I believe it's refered to as the Sabre Dance. Anyone know where I can get a video of this? The movie doesn't seem to be available either. DB
