Default G75 won't stop

I have not been able to stop my new G75 with throttle kill, or even by placing a finger over the carb. The barrel does close completely. In fact, with the carb removed from the engine, you can't blow through it when closed. So, where is the air leak? There is a hissing sound from front of the crank when choking the engine or rotating the prop with the barrel closed. Is this the norm for ST engines?

Thanks,
Ken

Default RE: G75 won't stop

A SuperTigre engine not stopping when the throttle is closed is a rarity. At very low throttle settings, it's possible that some air may leak in from the front bearing, but only if the idle mixture's too rich. You may want to lean the top end to peak, and then work on the idle mixture. You want it as lean as possible that also allows a good acceleration.
