Nitro_nut,
I use [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXM738&P=ML]THIS[/link] for my brake. It works great and brake in time, it could overturn your vehicle if you are not careful

Whirly, they sure look the same don't they?

Anyone know the correct size reciever antenna to replace the stock one. Seems that I have cut off about all but 5 inches of it.

Whirly: Yes they are the same, but I think the HPI one comes with a straight and 45° adapter, whereas with the Motorsaver you have to choose one or the other. HPI does do a sway bar set too, it's P/N 86290.

Nitro_nut: No it won't.

They are 100% identical, except the HPI one comes with 2 adapters and the Motorsaver only one, so you might as well get the HPI one if its the same price.

That 125cc tank looks like the same as the Ofna one Gran has, which he said was $9.99.

Looks exactly the same as the one I ordered from towerhobbies yesterday for 9.99 (along with a huge pile of option parts )

Btw. I just got a reply from O.S. Supposedly there's a rotostart backplate which should fit O.S. .18 engines.

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=++&search3=Go

Has anyone tried this? I'd rather have rotostart than pullstart or bulky electric box starters. Not sure if the backplate works with the hpi rotostart, put it should be easy to work something out.

Combatcm: About the tank, I read that it's easy to fit..

Combatcm: Yeah I believe so, it looks the same length as the HPI 100cc one, just a bit taller. Where's Gran when you need him!

My truck just isn't running like it used to.. First the steering is meesed up. I went to my LHS like usual and the engine was running like a monster, it was perfectly tuned but if i would steer to the left or right it would keep going that direction untill i changed the direction again and it would do the same thing. So, i thought that the gears in the servo were stripped so i went out and bought a JR Racing 590 Hi Torque servo.

The next day i went out and used my truck and it seemed it was still staying in the same direction but only after i turned right. I played with the trim and it didn't help much so i thought that it could be that the right steering turnbuckle was too short. So, i fitted the ballcups just right so it was matching the steering turnbuckle on the left. Then i ran the truck again and this time it was back to staying in the same direction after turning left or right. Do you guys have any ideas, please help!!

Also, the engine was running awsome but after i went full speed and i let go of the throttle without brake to slow the truck down, ot would make this loud noise coming from the back. Please Help!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

unscrew and rescrew the servo saver from the streering servo, sometimes it gets loose and you loose steering.

MT2 Beater: Is the steering hard to turn manually, like with the linkage disconected from the servo? If so, my suggestion is just check the screws that go into the front support bracket where the linkages are mounted. the plastic bushings will allow it to get too tight and make your steering hard to turn or stick. Or maybe dirt in the bushings themselves

And the noise could be the famous ring and pinion in the diff, if you have stock gears that is. mine used to click and rattle and make all kinds of racket. easy way to check without pullin the diff apart, put on somewhat hard dirt, pick up front end and hit the throttle, if rear tires dont spin in the dirt, just grind while the front spins, thats the problem.

CS MT2:

It is not hard to turn manually, the steering linkage is fine its something else. What did you mean about the diffs, did you mean to check if they were stripped because i already did and they were not stripped. I also have the brake set loose so it isn't brake being too tight.

Team A:

When i put in the JR servo i made sure the servo horn was put in correctly and fit in nicely.

Nitro Nut:

Haven't tried the batteries yet but i will to make sure, i didn't think that would be the problem because i thought i changed them recently but i'm going to still check.

Please Help guys i will update after i try the batteries but in the mean time and ideas would be great.

Thanks!!!!!!

i just started my mt2 up for the first time in a while and it ran great for a few minutes then cut off, then when i tried to start it up again, whenever i push the rotostart button it turns the engine and driveshaft and the wheels try to move every time so it jumps forwards, any clue whats going on?

Just recieve my big parcel from towerhobbies, I got loads of nice stuff! The alu shocks are much better it seems.

The ofna 125 cc tank fits surprisingly well, although not perfect - the edge corner where the tank is welded touches the center gearbox. I think with some tools you could trim 1 millimeter off to make it fit. I just used a ziptie instead of one of the screws for now, until find a good way to fix it.

I have an 18 SS kit and was wondering is there a better servo horn setup you all are using then the stock configuration. It just doesnt seem to effecient with the brakes. I am using a JR 270 servo on the throtle and brake and it just dosnt seem to have the brake strength but works the throtle just fine. I just put a RS4 fiber disk on for more stopping power hope it works better. I was thinking I had seen someone using a T style servo horn instead of the HPI setup. I just dont like how your servo has to work against that C spring to operate the brake. Any suggestions would help.
Thanks
