RE: my latest old timer
That's a beauty! I like the way you used pull cables on the controls.
The Spook is one of those airplanes that looks better in the air than it does on the ground....sort of gangly sitting there but very graceful and bird-like in flight.
Have you flown it yet?

RE: my latest old timer
It has an Aurora 400T out runner motor, 8X6 apc eprop, TP 1900/2100 3S batteries, CC phoenix 25 esc. 26 oz RTF weight. gws naro 6ch rec, gws bb micro servos.
the plane is one oz less than the minimum the 2002 technology would allow when it was designed. it balances in the same place with or without the battery.

Oh no Larry! You take a beautiful model and put an electric in i!!. That's like taking a Ferrari and putting in a pinto engine!!! No just funning! A beautiful model. For those who have not see Larry's big one it too is a beautiful bird and flies majestically with the 4 stroker in it. Hope you can bring it up next year at for the Mid South VRCS Flyin!

RE: my latest old timer
Good looking Spook, had one twenty years ago with an Enya .09. I still have the plans although a bit faded but maybe good enough to get another built from them. I have a couple of old engines that would work well, Bantam 19, E.D. Hunter 21, Elfin 15. Who knows! It was a good flyer.

RE: my latest old timer
well i got to maiden the mini spook this last weekend and all went well. the plane did display a lot of glitching which got worse with each flight, but i used a cheap motor and reciever, so I ordered some top drawer stuff to try. The plane flew real nice just like the big one!
