Default Help me find a home for a 1.60FX

So, my brother and I are flying a Lanier Edge 540 ARF w/ 1.60FX, that he traded for, today and run out of fuel early and was jsut in the right spot where, well you're screwed and it went in........about 1.5hrs ago actually. Got maybe a dozen flights on it??

Well now he's got a 1.60FX and electronics in need of a home. We've been out of the "loop" for a couple years or so with college. We like planes like the Edge, Extra, Yak etc but at this point we really just want to get into the air and have fun again.

Mind throwing some websites/feedback our way? Thanks a lot!

-btw, I'm not a big fan of the 1.60FX glow fuel hogging machine that has sloppy throttle response but its what he's got.

I'd be willing to adopt that engine also.

In Utah people are putting the 1.60 in the Funtana 90. The new Ultimate made by Great Planes would be a good choice too.

Hey sorry but I have to add you live in Virgina , the land of history , so you have to add this engine to a nice warbird !!! , There are so many to choose from that will take this engine , lets see , the Giant scale planes P40 , Hanger 9 P47 ect ect .

I'm putting that same engine in a Goldberg Pitts Model 12 Monster. Any of the planes listed above would be a good match, though. If you dont mind me asking though, how did you come to crashing the Edge just by running out of fuel? Were you low, slow, and unable to deadstick it in or what?

Chip Hyde Tunnel Vision would get my vote, my current model also using a OS160.
