RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
great info...I'm interested in these "offset wheels" you're talking about. Do you have a tower link to what you'd recommend for the tc3+ (pre glued and all)?

You don't really need to do the non-pull-start conversion to take advantage of a starter box when it comes to the Plus. Most people who do that are doing it to shed any mild drag and weight. But if you are getting that serious about such things it's better to get the Team kit.
The Plus RTR is standard side exhaust unless there is a different non-U.S. version out there. So you would have to get a different engine to go rear exhaust. However you can choose either with the Team kit.
Offset wheels add width to your wheelbase, giving more stability. Check your local rules, especially if they abide by ROAR, I can't recall if that affects the 200mm limit.
Kit or Plus the NTC3 is a great car that can bash or race. Good luck!

Starter-box.. easy road to start heaven for the + version? Or only for Non-pull?
I wanted to buy a "conversion kit" so i get non-pull and rear exhaust.. but this starter thinguie sounds interesting.
And another thing.. Offset on wheels waht does that mean/do?

I know tower hobies have some 26mm rims with 3mm offset. If you search for ex. 26mm 3mm off you find those from HPI.
(Nothing i've found is glued and rdy to go sry)

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
I visited my local modellers shop today. Glad i did! they told me that TA was bought by some Tiger company.. And that they would stop selling TC3's there.. (From now on i have to buy form my neighbour country because Tiger something has a wearhouse there.)
Anyway, i did a price check from them earlier, and they wanted like 650$ for the TC3 RTR, but today when i was there it was 500$ Late January Sale, + weekend supersale with 30% off and they had 1 TC3 RTR + Usually the price is 2x over here, so i just had to get one right there. Only thing pissed me off, was coming home and trying to charge the glow egniter thing.. wich had 110V supply! Bhaaa! here we have 220V so i have to pick up a power thinguie or a new one on monday.
Can't wait to try it out

If money isn't an option get BSR capped tires. NOTHING hooks up as good as BSR caps. Otherwise HPI and Yokomo touring tires hook up equally well (to each other) and are fairly durable.

Well [link=http://www.lefthander-rc.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=24]Lefthander R/C[/link] usually has some.
The [link=http://www.bsr-racing.com/cap/]BSR[/link] site has a list of distributers. The link is to their Capped tire page.
[link=http://www.jagracingteam.com/index.htm]JAG Racing[/link] sells them at local events in Texas. There is a store link (ebay) on his site. Though I haven't seen him put BSR's online so he may not sell them remotely. But i've never seen cheaper prices for BSR than his.
If BSR doesn't end up being your thing then I would check out Yokomo, Take-Offs or HPI.

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
Im trying to understand my manual.. But need some help with droop / ride height..
Im trying to set the droop. But the tool shown in the manual doesnt seme to come with the RTR Plus Kit.. So i guess ill wait until i get the Factory Team One.
The manual says to use the Ride Height Tool and it will adjust it to 5.5mm. And that i shall check this with the 4 "points" to insert it under the car. Here is where the info stops..
Where do i actually adjust the heights?
Thx

if your ajusting the ride height then you would take out the spacers on the shocks until you got the desired height if you have the threaded shocks then you screw them down or up until you get the desired ride height.

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
anytime you buy a 2 speed tranny on a nitro you must allow some time to wear in the clutch inside the tranny ......centifugal force is the key component here.....patience
