RE: Anyone own a Warhead
I love Hellrazour's window screen. It looks so cool. I think I'll do that instead of cutting the windshield. But the more I read the less I want to try out the truck. I want the T-Maxx 3.3 now, so at least I'll have a truck that runs? This thread is really bumming me out on this truck...it's like I can almost count on it breaking/ running hot/ can't shift out of neutral whan I try to run it???.
BTW: Xtreme Rc Cars mag couldn't get the tranny out of neutral either and couldn't figure out why even after rebuilding....great. []

RE: Anyone own a Warhead
thanks bill and destrega for the tire glue answers. they were on there good cause i already had reglued them once. got er done. OK, another question. i mistakenly adjusted the lsn.[thought it was the throttle stop] so i readjusted 12 1/2 out w/ carb open. my problem is motor shuts off immediately when i try to apply the brakes. i think someone said to back out the throttle stop 1/8 turn. tried that, still killed it.[what a pain to get to] any ideas?

to break your tires loose preheat oven to 400 degrees then turn off put atowel on a cookie sheet then place wheels on .put wheels in oven let set for about 45 min. or till oven cools remove from oven. tires will come off with slight pressure

I'll have to remember that trick. I've got a cracked rim, that I'm supposed to be getting a warranty replacement for one of these years...uhhh.. days. I would think that much heat would hurt the foam, but I guess not.

Not hard to install. Remove the front skid, unscrew the drag link from the top, unscrew the adjuster nut from the bellcrank assembly and remove the spring and plastic washer/bushing. Then remove the bellcrank. Install is the same except you will need to grease the shaft because you dont want dry metal to metal rubbing and then use locktite in the hole for the 3mm.
I will warn you now. If you adjust the adjuster too tight. You will break your servo. Untill now, the bellcrank was breaking and the now that it wont break, mis-adjusting will cause other damage. Start out loose and get a feel for it. Better safe than sorry. I have had mine installed since tank #1 when I had to make the prototype. Still going strong....

RE: Anyone own a Warhead
How many people want custom A-arms for this thing? I will probably make them on a pre-sale/pre-order type deal. They would probably be around $150 or so too.
Also just a question fo RC M/T's in general. How many of you would want custom one off wheels for your trucks. This would mean you help create the design and then I make them in that design only once for you. They would of course fit all your trucks with 23mm hubs not just the Warhead and be 40 series size.
Let me know If this sounds reasonable. I think it would be fun.

RE: Anyone own a Warhead
Well DPC, I took the part off like you said, so I could see how it works, no the darn thing won't steer after putting it back together, it is hitting the frame and I can't seem to figure it out, is there something i'm missing? HELP, I haven't even put nitro in this yet and now it won't steer after just removing the darn bell crank.

Ok, ever get so frustrated you just can't see the simple things? Like putting it back together before testing it? Well, I am such a dork, it is fine, just had to put it together, but I did not see it for over an hour!! Well, live and learn as I always say!! Thanks for the info about the skid plate, as that is what made me realize it was attached to that as well.

89,
is the carb all the way closed when the brakes are on?remove the air filter turn the radio & truck on with the throttle at neutral there needs to be 1mm gap on the carb slider,if not turn the stop idle screw clock wise until this is acheived.ten manully open and close the carb with your hand.make sure the slider in the carb hasn't rotated.u need to have that 1mm gap to keep the truck running.
