Default GP Flatana brushless

I was thinking about upgrading the stock 370 brushed motor with a brushless. Any suggestions? Would one of the eflite park 370s work or a himax 2015. Which one? With the stock prop and gear ratio would the 4100kv be the best.

well if u go brushless, stiffen the thing up a lot(mainly the wing) because it WILL flex more than normal. My seggustion also is go with the HiMaxx motor, just use the right battery/motor combo. I screwed my flatana with a rimfire and a 730 tp li po. that thing is like a piece of paper flying

If you want to go really mad,try a Axi2208/34-9x4.7 and Flightpower Evo20C 800mah-just flew mine today with that setup and its insane!!!!!!-climbing flat spins and the most evil blenders possible but watch those wings!! -at one stage I thought they would clap hands!!!!!!-mine was also built without the "special hardware"-just use blenderm tape-trust me,it WILL outlast the model...

These FlatOuts are really fragile aircrafts. I have had the Turmoil and currently have the Flatana, both with the brushless RimFire. The first place these crack is on the fuselage directly behind the forward fuselage doublers (they will crack other places later on). Now, whenever I build one of these, I always extend the forward fuselage doublers back to the wing.

But, they are really fun with the RimFire......

$17 For the price there is no way you can beat the Esskay 400XT OUTRUNNER Brushless Motor from Hobby Lobby. Ive had this motor in 2 flatouts and 4 HL Yak55's. I think this is a great little motor for this plane. Here:http://www.hobby-lobby.com/bargain-bo.htm
