RC10 to RC10T
Hey, this may sound like a retarted question, but I was wondering what parts I would need to convert the RC10 to a 10T(I'm pretty sure its an rc10, the guy selling it didnt know, and yes, I know its beat up but it was only 40 bucks). I know the a-arms, but do I also need the hinge pins, nad what other parts. I just bought the truck and it's my first associated car/truck, so I need some help with this. Also is a pic of what I bought, so you can see it for yourselves. Thanks,
Chris

Yeah, I just bought it so i don't even have it. When I get it i'll take some pics of it after I clean it up. The description said rc10 or FXT, so maybe a combination?

You got to look around the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=183705]RCU Marketplace[/link] more often. I saw that in there a few days ago for sale, and was staring at the picture for about an hour deciding on whether or not to buy it, but decided to pass on it.

RE: RC10 to RC10T
haha, yeah thats where i got it from. i originally didnt go to the marketplace to buy anything, really, but then I saw it, did my research and decided to go ahead with it. All it needs is a new a-arm and it should be good. Also, the guy that i bought it from was selling the motor as a different item, but he said for 12 bucks he'd just put it on and I mean 12 bucks for a motor (even if it is stock) isnt that bad. I still dont know if I'm gonna fix it up and sell it, or keep it as a basher. Im kinda leaning towards the keeping it, but I think my mom wants me to sell it. Also, does anyone know if this is the FXT or the RC10? The front shock tower looks a little bit different from the RC10's, but I can't find any FXT pics so im not sure what to compare it to. O well, whatever it is, it was a good deal. (on second thought, the front shock tower may be aftermarket...kinda looks like carbon fiber)

RE: RC10 to RC10T
I'm pretty sure this is an FXT, because the radio looks the same as a pic of the FXT that I found. The only thing is the suspension components dont seem to match up with those of the FXT or those of the RC10. When i get it I'll take more pics and put them up for whoever to decide what it is.

RE: RC10 to RC10T
Ok, I just got the truck and the first thing I did was take some pics (hence the dirtyness of the truck). it doesnt seem to be a buggy, but the front suspension arms are pretty short. Also, I noticed that the a-arms are solid...no cuts out of it or anything. Of course, there were a few surprises, like carbon fiber front and rear shock towers, proline tires (rear) and aftermarket rims. The rear shocks need to be rebuilt, but after a good cleaning and a new a-arm if I can find it then she should be rollin'. here are the pics so you can tell what it is...rc10, FXT, or hybrid. Also, the chassis is the metal tub type, much like the FXT.

RE: RC10 to RC10T
Ok, will do. The only thing I have to now is figure out what turnbuckles are the same size, where I can get a new hub carrier, and then just some little work making sure everything works right. If I run into any problems i'm sure someone on the vintage thread can help me with where to find parts and stuff. Thanks for the help!
