Default RE: motor turn question

The lowest I've seen is a 7 turn, but in order to have that you would probably need to upgrade your ESC, and your runtimes would be crap. After the whole turn thing there is brushless, and those are like holy crap thats fast. In order to have a brushless motor you need a brushless capable ESC, and the whole shebang is around 200 bucks. As far as modifying your motor...there isn't really anything you can do besides buying a lower turn motor. Before you buy anything check to see what your speed controller can handle. Hope this helps.

You could hand wind a 1turn... Lowest I have seen is a 6x1, but I have heard if 2 and 3 turn custom hand wounds.

Oh, and that guy that got 111mph was running 24 cells so don't plan on breaking 90 with even a 2t. Only thing i don't understamd is how u modify and esc to the point where you can run a 2t and like 30 volts...strange.

I am just getting in to electrics but you can adjust the timing on a lot of the electrical motors.

The 2-turn motor that they broke 111mph with was a Aveox brushless system.

with a 7 turn motor how long would your runtime be with a 3300mAh battery and with a 4200mAh battery. i have the 3300 but i found a 4200 for around 30 dollars. i also thought about a 9 or 10 turn.

Doesn't really matter in this case. In anything you won't see over 9 mins, even with real high capacity batts. It just draws so many amps.
