Body on or off?
So do you bash with your RC with the body on or off?
Personaly I take the body off my SS5800pede cause #1 it get smashed up too quick and #2 it acts like a sail and slows back flips.
So please share why and what rc.

RE: Body on or off?
Your Body is not on there to look cool man, it's there to protect the parts it covers.
I don't run any of my cars with body off unless I am breaking in a new motor.
NEVER on my electrics, ESC's and batteries are to expensive to tear up over a 20 dollar body.

Umm the body posts protect the ESC and wires, I have all wires wrapped in the spiral electrical wrap and tied down with zip ties. I have never borken a electrical compoentet due to not having the body on!

RE: Body on or off?
I agree .... Body has to be on. I want my parts protected. I can't stand having dirt inside as well. Yeah it will get some dirt with a body on, but it gets a hell of a lot more w/o the body. Plus it just looks cool. Everyone could drive 4 wheels and a chassis around, the body is what makes your car's look. Peformance is a whole seperate issue, but style is what people in the pits really dig. I can't count how many times people notice the paint job first, then ask about hop ups. That is the fun of racing, conversations and showing of a cool ride. I can't really see why you wouldn't have a body unless you have to work on your car a lot or refuel/change batteries a lot.

Driving around with the body off is just asking for trouble plus as metaldog said it's what makes your ride look cool and sets it apart from every one elses.

Whenever I'm going something silly or going to be doing it for a long time, I put the body on, but if I just wanna check something or have a really quick run (no jumping) I leave it off. And I have broken parts with the body off (tore an ESC apart with a body off).

RE: Body on or off?
LOL nope, the body wont even fit on with thoes posts, the posts are just there to act as 'roll cage' of sorts. I have a two bodies, and a set of working posts, but I hate how much I mess the body up, even on my clear pede body, the pede is soo top heavy it rolls quiet often and when the body hits the asphalt it sounds like a plastic drum, or when I wheelie, the bumper gets all bent up...
Of course I dont mean race with out a body!
