heh it looks so good we dont know if its rc or not...

how long did it take... and how did you actually get rid of the scratches , or are they just paint-deep?

Its a tamiya isuzu mu type x, its one of the xc line models like the pajero or the jeep wrangler or the cr-v, they were made back in the early 90's. I restored this one. I just installed lights as seen in the pics, much more to come including a custom brush guard.

The body had two small cracks and many deep scratches, almost ruining the intricate lines that are in these hardbodies that make them so awesome. I fixed them by filling with model putty and sanding and reapplying till it was correct. after wards i fixed the cracks, sanded, sanded again, primed 3 coats, wet sanded 4 times, laid down base coat of pearl white, 2nd coat of pure silver, 3 coat of pure silver, then wetsanded, then clear coat 6 times. now shes a showstopper.

Sweeet, so are you actually going to use them or what? I'll get some pics of my Hummer once I get the electronics I need.

Thats a good way to kill your truck. The XC will work great even with 27T stock motor. Plenty of torque and a top speed. You have to remember these are scale trucks not touring cars.

yeah dude the xc's dont handle like a touring car, they flip unless you know how to drive them, i put slicks on it and cruised around with a 27t mvp and it would hold its own, but i stick with the stocker for scale speeds and trialing, im working on a custom grill guard and trailer for it so i can pull another xc, i plan on getting a cr-v if i can ever find one,

it just has a high cg, no matter what i do to the suspension its still going to flip at high speeds, im gonna do a 4 link at the end of the month for some more articulation, and a set of better springs for the front, not much else i can do without hacking up the chassis,
