Can't stop the BOG!
Hey guys,
It's been awhile since I've been here, but thats because
I have been waiting on parts.Well the parts came in so I
put it all together.I just replaced my throttle linkage and
everything is perfect in that area, all my adjustments are
right on.Here's the tricky part, when I put this truck away
it was running good, but now I can't get rid of this bog on
my takeoff.I have adjusted my low end needle and I can't
seem to get it right,it bogs then it goes.Maybe I'm looking
in the wrong dirction, can someone please help me?PS,my
idle is set at 1/16 of an inch gap.

RE: Can't stop the BOG!
I would get on a level parking lot and richen the LSN and HSN a 1/4 turn. Then run a circle or two to warm things up. Then do some straight runs to see what it does. Always adjust the HSN first! Get it to top performance at full throttle with a little smoke trail. Then if it still bogs from a standing start lean the LSN a little at a time. If you go 1/2 turn with no better performance, turn it out 1/2 turn and start to richen it a little at a time.
You may just be able to richen the HSN to find it works great so just try that first. The HSN has the authority to all the fuel to the carb. The LSN controls fuel @ idle. If the HSN is lean it will affect all the carb needles.
