actual speed?
I know that the volcano stx & tornado xp are pretty fast. On ebay, sellers claim that they will go 60+ mph. Will they get close to that fast on even "perfect conditions"? Or are they just lying?

RE: actual speed?
This is just one link to the speed topic.
Search a bit more and you'll find quite a few more posts about the 'real speed' these are capable. Good luck.
I still love mine hehe

RE: actual speed?
60 mph is a bit of a stretch. you might be able to get your 2 speed xp to 50 under ideal conditions. Ehroof clocked his at 43 mph using 20% fuel. Maybe with a little tweaking and 35% nitro you could get it up there. Who knows.
40 is fast enough in my opinion. A crash at that speed would be pretty rediculous.

RE: actual speed?
I must say that my XP has held up pretty good considering at full speed 40+ i hit a curb, it flipped about 4 times in the air, landing on the roof of the car and didnt stop running. I did break my left front c-hub, ordered the part and back in business faster than ever. Dont worry about hitting 60mph, i really believe that it would be to fast, unless of course you have a place to run it. For the normal applications, and dirt the car is plenty fast.

RE: actual speed?
I measured my Himoto Syclone aka. Redcat Racing Tornado xp aka. HiSpeed Atomic Warhead with a two speed transmission and 16% nitro.
20 metres in 1 second = 72 kph = 44.74 mph. HAHA

RE: actual speed?
i have seen some extremely fast buggies on you-tube, i mean, they were doing like 70mph+. and they had some outrageous jumps. those guys were going so fast that the wing would cause the car to flip over backwards. and the jumps were like 15 feet high, see if u can find it.

RE: actual speed?
we should put parachutes on the back of these things. I have a nitro rustler and once i get it to about 50mph it just starts to weave back and forth until it flips into the barpit and is saved by a bunch weeds. Im waiting for a aluminum part for it right now and more shock oil.
