How about a Kyosho MP777 SP2? that would be better than both

Apples and oranges, dude. pick one, buy it, drive it.

I'm not sure if the x-c's come with the agressor radio still...even though it is a decent radio for a ready to run truck you should still want to upgrade which brings me to this question: what radio system should i put in my x-c? i can spend up to about 150$ anyone got any links or good suggestions??

This is wyd on my buddies shop computer. The 2.5r actually fits in pretty easy and for the gearing I needed for oval it wasn't too much work. I used the stock mounts, Losi 51 tooth spur and a Robinson Racing 19t Traxxas clutch bell, with a MIP Jato clutch. The motor fits but the clutch bell rubs just a tad on the back of the rear slipper plate. I just neatly ground down the plate to be a little smaller round and it fits. If you want to run any smaller clutch bells than 19 tooth a little modifying will be needed.

What I found is that if I just redrilled the endgine mount 2 to 3mm back from the original motor mountseverything would fit perfect and no dremeling will be needed.

Thanks. Cool thing is all the stuff I did to it are available and easy to buy. I the tread dies some because of the XTM thread on the Global forums and lots of other truck coming out so many people like to try new trucks so they go to other threads.

This is my 2nd Racer kit and never really had problems with my truck. The 1st one in late 04 had a rough diff but changed to highend diff balls and thrust balls and that fixed the problem. The only other problem is that the front axles are a little weak and bend sometimes. OTher than that I have not had any problems with the trucks. Now I race mine only so it never takes a real beating like some of the guys do to their trucks.

I think the truck is excellent for the money. Most of the trucks out can only take so much beating before they will break. One of the best things is XTM parts are pretty inexpensive. Overall it is the best RTR type truck I have seen in years next to the Jato. I have had all the trucks from Losi XXX-NT, Assocaited GT, Traxxas Jato, and my XTM and it has held up with all the others. I only raced the other trucks as well so they never had any bash testing other that what happens at the track.

Alot of guys break a arms from time to time on almost all trucks. I saw one or two this weekend racing the oval. Cheaper RTR servos do tend to wear out quickly or break down. The only thing on the clutch I went thru was the clutch shoes. They tend to wear a little quicly but not a huge deal as they do work fine. I have an MIP clutch on mine since I have the Traxxas motor on I use the Jato MIP clutch setup. Works great.

Too bad you don't live close as if you would see my truck run with my setup I think I could change your mind some. The clutch bell is a Robinson Racing 19tooth with a MIP clutch for the Jato. This combination of MIP clutch is pretty much bullet proof. Never used any other clutches but MIP in all my Traxxas, GT's and Losi nitros. Been using MIP clutches since they have come out and have no plans to switch.

The Traxxas motor thing is they are cheap and fast plus my local shop I race for has a racer that ports and does crank work on them so it is dumb for me to spend more money on other motors that don't run like my 2.5 motor does. To get a motor to run like mine I would have to pay 3 times more and I don't see that as worth it to me. Many comment about the motor in my truck and are like damn that thing sure is fast on the oval. I'm racing against guys using Nova Rossi, RB, and OS TZ 5ports and still keep up just fine.

Hey everyone runs what they like so not a big deal as long as your having fun.
