ok, my neighbor gave me an rc10 t3...anndd he said its missing the brain...what the heck is the brain? and how much will it cost me?

That's all you basically need for it to run.. Unless you don't have the transmitter (controller), it should run...

oohh...so i think its the ESC thats fried...i need a new one...can i just use any ESC? where can i get a cheap one?

Yeah, you can basically use any ESC, just not a brushless one (unless it's compatible with brushless and brushed). That T3 has a brushed, so you have a wider selection of ESC. The DuraTrax IntelliSpeed ESC are pretty good. I use the 16T Mild Mod: http://duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxm1055.html . They don't cost much either.

I don't think so. That's meant for RC flight. For a good quality ESC, you should be willing to spend atleast 50 or more.

well you seem to be missing the wire that runs from the esc to the receiver... is it just hidden in the pics or just not there? if not there, are any of the wires sticking out so that you could solder it back together?

I have an esc and motor combo I can sell you for 70 shipped, its an mtroniks 15 turn with reverse limit and its fully waterproof, the motor is a team orion method r 16 turn double, they both have less than 5 runs on them, let me know.
