You guys will be the first to know for sure.

Ah well, got some cool new ones coming from Ultimate so I'm still a happy camper.

The TLT-1 May turn into a donor project for something similar to what skidooguymx did with his TLT stuff. I really liked that idea, though I'd like a little bit nice fit and finish.

We'll see

Be advised, anything faster than the stock 540 will break it in half...LOL

Seriously, it flips right over with a stock can. It'll last a day with anything else unless you do a gearbox swap and ditch the belt drive.

Apparently you have not seen the stock TLT w/ Novak 4.5 (or 5.5?) setup.. one of the guys here has that setup..

The belt drive can take it...

BUT, I am not sure how drivable it is.. hee hee... Gear it down, way down, maybe that will help!

I agree the belt drive can "take it", but it wont be very goodCan you say "SQUEEL SLIP!"lol I mean, a stock 27 turn was silpping the belt on mine after about 2 months of use.

Cool.. keep us posted on what you are gonna do w/ the TLT.. we all like to learn from each other.. (i.e., steal each other's idea.. joke)

Hey Lunchboxer,

I posted an update on my TLT on the official TLT thread, not sure how you post a link but I will give it a shot,[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2473892/mpage_12/key_/tm.htm]Official TLT Forum[/link]. It didn't last long, I stretched the wheelbase. Took a couple of tries but there it is.

hey LB how long did it take junfac order to ship to you? I've been waiting for over 2 weeks which is a little much considering the links and skid could fit in a small manilla envelope!

aw sweet my dad brought home the package from work! I already installed the skid to see what it looks like, it looks really nice! I also prepped all the links so tomorrow I'm going to take my TLT apart completely and lock all the diffs with shoe goo, install the skid, install the longer links, drop in the silver can (see if it has higher performance than the titan 550), waterproof the servo, ESC, and front and rear axles, and also install my emaxx shocks! Sounds like a project huh? I've decided that as soon as I can get my hands on some 3mm aluminum sheet and some 5 or 6 mm aluminum square rod then I'll fab up my own chassis. It'll be very similiar to the stock chassis, but it will be made to accept the stealth tranny and it'll have an aluminum center skid. I'm very close to ordering my moabs and a pk2k motor along with deans plugs.

Shoe goo, eh?! I'd recommend you to go with JB Weld..... Shoe goo will be good for awhile before it loosen up....

If you want reverseable lock, just stuff the 3rd gear between the two in the diff.. it will lock it...

So I was buiing links for my TLT tonight.. argh.. I was trying to use small ones for upper links.. (easier to clear the chassis) Of course, I broke the tap inside of the link..

The telescoping shaft is cool...

Yes yes, I kept the cantilever.. hey, I like it, okay?!?! [&:]

Brackets from Lunchbox (I ordered a bunch last time I placed an order from Tower) and riveted it to the fat aluminum link.. should be plenty strong.. I hope.. (although the aluminum links are hollow... but pretty decent size..)

I think articulation is not gonna be an issue... Not like I am trying to optimize for that.. it is not gonna be a rock crawler.. at least not a dedicated one....

The front is now lower.. argh.. it will affect the handling I am sure as it is changing the caster angle..

Less stability, but maybe it will be okay as the longer wheelbase will compensate somehow..

Who knows! It is just a darn RC... hee hee..

Not sure if I should do the same for the front.... hmm..... then it will be a pretty big TLT then.... probably need some bigger shocks like the rear to compensate for the new leverage..

LOL... yeah, pretty much just stretching the rear for now.. I just basically want a longer wheelbase so it does not flip over all the time.. but I try to keep the spirit of TLT.. instead of swapping out everything, new chassis, etc, etc.

Just need the new upper links (shouldn't take too long, since I got the new 4x40 tap.. will get a few as spares.. LOL!) and I will be ready to run it around!!

Ha ha ha, I broke three taps in the process of making 4 sets of links. It always randomly snaps, even when used right it catches you by suprise. And uhh...off topic but what do you think I should get for a new kit? Getting another tamiya and am deciding the clodbuster or dark impact

then just spend an extra $10 and get it for $130 with an extra $10 of other stuff! lol and if you use 014JY instead of the coupon on their front page then you get $25 off! So a DI for $125 with some extra stuff! Nice!
