trab1925;
I agree with thrushdust; I tried a system similar to what you have proposed; had 2 smoke fluid pumps, and a 16 oz tank, had all kinds of pressure and sprayed out the water no problem; problem was you could not see it too good, or rather not at all, unless you got low enough and you could barely make it out against the dark background of some trees; tried food coloring and all it did was make a mess of the plane; tried some white latex paint and was a little more visible but not enough to make it worthwhile, gave up on the project.

How about a simple smoke system? I have such a system in my 113" Agwagon; engine is a Zenoah 62cc, and it pushes out high volumes of smoke. It's impossible to tell that the smoke is coming from the exhaust rather than the trailing edges.

Thanks guys,
I and others had posted these and more shots on the "best scale photo" thread long ago (#'s 868,1355,1644) and we were blasted for them not being "realistic enough" to be there each time. These shots were taken during a demo flight for my former employer that owned and flew the full-scale during the 12 years I worked for him. He thought it was realistic enough to bring tears to his eyes, having retired and sold all of his ag-planes a few years before.

I think the pictures are awsome. I t makes me eager to get back from Kuwait so i can start building my next project. I built an agwagon that used powder but i have plans to an agcat and an airtractor that I would love to try a spraybar on. I guess I will use this time to brainstorm. You guys keep up the good work and keep posting pictures because this is the closest I can get to R/C until I come back next year.

Anyone w/ a agcat, or agplane that is at least a 90 size that is looking to sell, email some pics to [email protected] I would also be willing to trade a fullmetal raptor v2 heli (metal frames, head, tail, etc...)
Thanks...

just got a 72" from TeamD and it looks really nice. i haven't started yet with the project. i ordered the rest of the kit to complete the short kit from lone star in Texas. just need some tubes and canopy/cowl. probably use a saito 100 to power it. i know it's not the 100" but i would think they are very similar. i'm happy with what i see so far! there are tonnes of photos too on the supplied CD.
anyone else out there with a 72" kit from TeamD.

While scanning one of my model magazines I saw this plane. I'm not sure if it has been posted before, but take a look at this electric alternative, pretty nice little video on the site as well. If this has been posted, has anyone built one of these air tractors from the kit & if so what do you think?

RE: crop duster r/c
Hey Red,
I'm planning to be at and fly at the RDRC Fly-for-Tots Saturday Sept. 23rd with my "good" 108" Thrush.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_44...tm.htm#4402710
The one that was distroyed at TG '06 this year was NOT the one that I had won the '04 Scalemasters and TG '05 with, I still have and will be flying that one!
We are also having a Scale and Big Bird Fly-in at the 95th Squadron's club field near Gaston, NC., October 7th that I'm trying to get off for.
Hope to see and talk with you at both.

Hey Coolhand,
There's a nice review of the dvflighttech kit over at the [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=558049]"other forum"[/link].
And, Pat Tritle shares his thoughts on it [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=557185]here[/link].

RE: crop duster r/c
I would like any members out there that have built the 120" Cessna Agwagon from New Zealand Aero Products to assist me with some queeries I have on the plans.
Did you build it with the wing incidence of plus 1.5 degrees on the wing and the minus 4 degrees of incidence on the tail.
Did it fly ok with these settings ?
One would think that the negative 4 degrees of tail incidence would cause the aircraft to climb sharply on takeoff, especially when there is already positive incidence on the wing.
All replies welcome and many thanks

Hello Swixtt
I am from Aero-Tech Radio Control in Australia, and not associated with Aerotech r/c models in the states.
I run a r/c service centre in Australia.
Joined this thread to hopefully get some info regarding the 120" Cessna Agwagon plans available from
New Zealand Aero Products, from someone that has built and flown one.
Thanks for the reply.

Here's my air tractor 100" getting the glass. They aren't to hard to put together, usual pet peeve stuff. The fiberglass canopy frame is a pain. real flimsy when the windows are cut out. If I did it again,i would cut out one window at a time. 2nd picture is my slurry drop box. holds about 2lbs of flour.

G-day mate . I have a NZAP Ag wagon waiting to go Mate as far as I know it will fly like a trainer
straight off the board . I was in contact with Randy Hansen in the U.S. after he got second at Top Gun 97
and fourth at Scale Masters said he built it as per plan , another bloke from down around you called Peter
changed the size of a few things and put it through the fence said it didn't want to fly. so maybe keep it as per plan
Hope this helps in some way . keep in touch
