Default 92" hybrid

Im close to finishing this beast! I am in need of some really good clip art / font for the OMP hybrid logos. Example the OMP logo on the top of the main page and the edge 540 hybrid logo on the bottom wing of the white and red plane.

Aside from a few missing parts (laser cut 1/8 leading and trailing edge parts) This has been one of the best kits I have built. For the price and size it make for a cheap Leap into gaint scale aircraft.

Chris:

Off subject, but I've just finished the fuselage of my Hybrid (and starting the tail "feathers"). I wanted to put a Brillelli 366 in my Hybrid, but due to its width I may have to get a DA-50 like in my Yak-54. What engine did you install?

Fly safe, Glover

I'm running a MVVS 58 Prosport in my Hybrid. This is a big plane and a DA 50 will work fine, but the 58 is the way to go. I'm running a Pitts style muffler from J-Tec. This turns a fat 24x8 MSC prop at 6750 rpm. I think MVVS has a great sale on them right now. I don't think performance could be any better with anything.

I use a single JR 8611a servo per aileron and rudder. I don't use a spinner or the pants. Even with the bigger engine, it still weighs less than 17 pounds.

If I build another one, it'll be done the same way as this one. I fly gasser Edges, Extras, and Ultimates, and this plane is the most FUN to fly!

Yeah Marzo, I've always liked those pics of your Hybrid. Sounds like a great combo with the MVVS 58. Chris, for the OMP logos you can simply go to our webpage and right click to save any of the logos you want. If you need graphics done we use John Nagle here locally at the RC Hobby Center. Email John here: [email protected]. He has all the OMP logos and can custom cut anything for you.

I know I've shown the pics before, but I just can't stop going on about how much I like this plane.

I got one you can finish. Its covered, DA-50 installed, Up on gear, All hardware is sitting in a box, Hitech 5995's still in the box waiting to be installed. I just need something to push me to finish. Its been at that stage for 6 months.

Thats my problem...SO many unfinished projects that I dont know where to start.
