man i'm bored. right now i'm saving money for a paintball gun and a tt-01. i hav experience from my other cars, so i guess u could call me a tt-01 poser. meh, electronics are the same, it doesnt matter. i wish my parents would let me buy more stuff. oh my birthday is April 24 so i'll just ask for a tt-01 then. nice. a plan for success, without me spending any money.

Ok guys,

I have a problem with my speed controller. I just got a used tt-01 and when I hook it all up it doesn't work. When I turn the car on the servo goes left then strait, it has power to the servo after because if you force it it goes back to strait. I do not have the original controller so I tried using my futaba. Do you guys know if the stock esc/reciver combo work with a futaba radio. Also with the reciver/esc combo on there is no interference at all, so that makes me worry its the esc again. I have had the controller apart and it looks to the naked eye to be ok, no weird smell or broken connections at all. I am also going to try some different crystals as well.

Thanks

what esc and radio are you talking? By stock esc do you mean the teu-101bk? or that reciever/esc combo thing, the CPR unit or something.

The teu-101bk works with all radio systems. I tried it on a futuba and airtronics and worked on both. I've never used the CPR unit and i suggest you ditch it, its very limiting.

Hi This is my first post!!!!
Bought a TT-01 XB, started to do some upgrades, but I need some help from an experienced RCer... I have recently bought ally prop shaft, bearings, Peak Racing Raven S 19x2, Nosram Hawk Power Reverse speedo, Acoms receiver and a new 3900 GP battery.
What gears should I buy for top speed and what for acceleration or are the stock ones set up perfectly?
What speeds should I see?
Thankyou

Even with the POS bushings, my TT-01 just is uncontrollable. So fast, and the fact that i can't figure out how to get the ABS working on the esc.[:@]

Well, I'd run it as is right now to see if you like the speeds.
I'm happy with the speed/acceleration tradeoff right now with the stock gearing and 12T motor i have.
For higher speed, get a bigger pinion and smaller spur and for faster acceleration, get a smaller pinion and bigger spur. Right now, i'd leave it as it is, unless you are going to go racing, and for that i'd buy a couple different pinion and spurs and set it up for the track (tighter track would need faster acceleration, longer, more open track would need better top speed).
Right now, i'd keep it as is.

Not that i can think of, but if you put in a high power motor, definately get the aluminum driveshaft and heatsink. And get the bearings too. Other than that, it's a very durable car.
