I just want to upgrade from my 6 cell stock battery, but i have cogging issues, only from a dead stop though. I still though would like something a tad bit faster so any reccomendations? I have a Mamba 25 with C4 8000 kv brushless , stock 14t pinion stock 60t spur, basically everything but suspension parts are stock.

no i have not, i dont have the link yet. You think updating it will even take care of cogging on such a crappy battery?

If you are running a stock 6 cell pack, that will likely cause cogging. If you want a good ni-mh pack to use with the Mamba, check the IB1400's or the elite 1500's from cheapbatterypacks.com. One other alternative would be to gear the car down. If you are using the 55T spur, try switching to the 60T. If you are already using the 60T, try a smaller pinion gear.
If you decide to make the switch to li-poly, you will really benefit from the purchase of the USB link for the Mamba. I have used the Thunder Power 1320 mah 3 cell packs in my RC18's and had good luck with them.

i also have had great luck with the thunder power 1320, and its very light to help keep the truck weight down, this will also make your truck accelerate faster. needrcspeed is right also about gearing if its too high that will make cogging worse, i had to lower my ratio. if you want the most mah that you can fit the thunder power 2100 works (but very tight length wise), the common sense 2000 is a cheaper option at about $39 and it still handles 20amps cont. that is plenty for your motor (my mamba motor pulls about 10 or 11amps when im pushing it hard) also one more common sense lipo that works is the 1650 for about $34
i have used all of these in my truck and i got them from www.superfastrc.com (because they had the best delivered price) i have my personal oppinions on each one here;
TP1320 - my favorite for racing in the dirt because it makes the truck light.
CS1650 - great all around basher mixing lighter weight with long run times.
CS2000 - my favorite one for bashing and high speed parking lot fun, very long run times
TP2100 - name brand top notch quality and c-rating (although i havent seen a difference playing and bashing from the cs2000) costs more
