Smooth move guys,Looks good but is it the pics or is the nose a lil thin ? Other pythons look like they havemuch bigger around fuse and nose. or is it pics> great job and thanks for the QB series , you hit a home run with these arfs, excellent quality, nice fit and finish. you have a repeat customer here. Now make it bigger......lol

On a second look.... is there any airfoil on the horizontal or vertical stab? They look flat. For $700, I would want airfoiled surfaces.

The stabs are flat on the "full scale" airplane.

Yes they are flat tails because the full size has a flat tail.....

Not exactly. Full size does not have a flat tail. Stab tapers thicker to the hinge line and the elevators taper from that thickness to very thin at the trailing edge.

I'm not as particular about trueness to scale as I am about warps... not a problem in the full scale, but I don't know if I've ever gotten a plane with flat surfaces that were truly flat.

We have reinforced the stab and rudder in order to prevent warpage.

True but my reply is, that the full scale does not have a air foiled tail.

I'll wait on some feedback from the production units.. if they're stiff enough to prevent warping, it shouldn't be a problem. Out of curiosity.. why the Python style? Longer fuse for better control?

The airplane has some very good qualities that make it ideal for RC one of which beeing the fuse. its also a change of pace.

Is there any concerns about the stabs needing flying wires since they are flat and not airfoiled, Im not hung up on airfoiled stabs, I think flat stabs fly just fine. I had one of the old 29% edges it had a flat stab and flew great. thanks Tim

My Lanier uses flying wires.. they seem to do a great job of keeping everything squared up. I guess if you had problems with warping or the surfaces washing out on you under stress, it would be a pretty simple process to make and attach some for this plane. I can't wait to read some of the build threads and see what folks think. I guess it will be a few months, though.

Is that the actual cowl that the production plane will have? I've heard rumors it'll be revised to look like an actual Python for the production plane.
