All this is going to tell you is who likes to put the biggest engine in their trucks they can. Its not going to tell you which engine people race with which is what it seems like you are asking, unless I am incorrect? If your bashing then the Picco is going to be a great engine, for racing....its not so great. All depends what your going to do more of, bash or race.

Why wouldn't it be a good race motor?

You cant control the truck if the front tires are never touching the ground because you're always doing wheelies. The Picco is one of the best bashing motors out there is you ask me. It has tons of low end power and its top end speed is impressive also. For racing you want a motor that is smooth, controlable, consistant, and easy to adjust to changing conditions.

my truck only wheelies if i want it to.

I often want it to, but if i am easyer on the throttle it is fine.

the 3.3 traxxas and the OS 18 are the same way. it is all about throttle controll and gear ratio.

horse power is a nice thing to have when your racing

have your truck set up properly is a must but a little horse power never hurts.

I think you would want as much horse power as allowed in the class.

the picco does violent wheelies. it is allot of un. it will rip, snort ,and shred.

my tmaxx 3.3 has lots of aluminum and other crap and you dont even know it with this engine.

it is a great motor at a unbeatable price.

but i am nuts so my next motor after my picco gets old i will get the sirio .27

But if you are looking at the price then there is a difference. The picco .26 maxx can be found for around $180.

Beasley1,man do you realy think that that picco of yours can ever beat a Nova or an RB for bashing or racing, sorry i think you are very wrong.

if you put a picco head to head with one of the engens i told you for, lets say a dragrace, that is like robing candy not from a kid but from a 5min old baby with a pistol pointed to his head

do you get the point now
