Classic.

Luckily mine was not so bad. Sure the plastic in the radio that holds the antenna was broken, but $10 for a new radio case was not bad at all. It was horribly out of tune, but that is not a functional issue, an engine can be retuned.

Sorry to hear you got bum merchandise. If you paid with Paypal (hopefully) file a dispute. Depending on how the auction was worded Paypal will help get your money back minus shipping costs. If none of the items that were broken are mentioned in the auction, there is a good chance you will get your money back.

Ebay has a dispute feature, but Paypal will actually freeze the users account until the dispute is resolved.

Still file a dispute with ebay/paypal. You can file the complaint on paypals website. He'll have to respond to you and eventually them and then ebay/paypal will decide on what will happen if you two cannot come to an agreement-that's the condensed version of the process. Who knows, he may even try to make it right before it comes to a judgement-a dispute scares people sometimes.

If you guy buy a $1500 1:1 car, ebay or not, are you going to complain because one of the power window motors doesn't work, or that the transmission is worn out or that it has a blown out strut?

it's a used truck. accept it. More to the point...it's a used SAVAGE. it's been abused, ALWAYS, even if the seller says otherwise. Maybe he didn't realize a shock was bent, and when buying used merchandise, it's buyer beware.

I bought an old beat up Honda Accord many moons ago for dirt cheap. I changed the oil. it knocked after I put 15w40 in it. It's not the seller's fault that I didn't check the car out more thoroughly, and it's not the seller's fault in these eBay cases that you didn't look at the truck in person before buying it.

No. He didn't advertise it accurately. Point blank, bottom line. Lots of sellers use certain "loopholes" on ebay to get rid of junk and buyers get burned in the process. That's not cool and someone needs to call these people out on it. I'd already have filed a dispute if it were me.[:@][8D]

I agree to an extent, but the fact of the matter is "buyer beware"

it'd be different if he cracked open what was supposedt o be an NIB Savage and it had fragged diffs and a blown up engine, but buying used is always a crapshoot.

if people with BAD FEEDBACK weren't given a chance by dummies on ebay, then people would be more likely to get a quality item.

Agreed however ebay is sooo quick to make you write up a feedback for the seller that most jump the gun and write it as soon as it has shipped. So the feedback itself isnt always correct, since you cant write up another one..

the whole problem with ebay is that people are using it.

ok, fine, I'll say it:

if you are dumb and don't know enough to ask specific questions about the item in question, then you deserve to get ripped off. Just like people that cry about getting ripped off buying a used car when they take it to two mechanics to see if it's worth buying, and they were advised against getting it.

this is what i bought,i'll bet my check this thing didn't even run

yo thunder, the a-arm couldn't even travel thats how bent.............the guy had a pipe with the pressure port on the bottom(me thinks left side pipe on the right),i would think that it would get filled with oil and not even work thus not putting pressure in the tank, not feeding the engine with fuel......[sm=tongue_smile.gif]just a dummies thought
