Hi, I need some help with my new Optic 6!when I switch everything on, the servos are only "jitering" and show no response at all! The receiver is the included HFS-06Mt that comes with the pack. The crystals are also the ones from the pack. I tried everything and just don't figure out where and what the problem could be!!!!! Can anybody please help me!

Check the crystal in the receiver has a green (single conversion AM/FM) tipped tag not a Blue (Dual conversion) tipped tag marked with frequency to match the black tipped "TF" crystal in your TX. Note TX on first off last or your receiver may have locked to some other signal. Refer to #2, last two sentences of an earlier post Mini 06S and Micro 05 which will provide additional information.

Default RE: Hitec Optic 6 servo jittering

thanks for the answer! The tip of the crystal is blue! That means that it is dual Conversion, doesn't it?
I have bought another pair of crystals some time ago, but with them it doesn't work neither! They have black tips... I really don't know what to do know!!! As I have no other 35mhz receiver I don't know whether it could be the receiver that is broken.
I don't understand this because the receiver and the crystals came with the set and are from Hitec!!!!
Can anybody help me please!!!

HFS-06MT is a single conversion receiver and should have a green tipped crystal marked with frequency and indicator "RA".
If your crystal has a blue tip and "RF" then it will not work with your HFS-06MT (Mini 6S) receiver and should be returned to the retailer, from whom you bought the set, for replacement with a genuine Hitec AM/FM sungle conversion crystal on same frequency.
Crystal tag Indicators:
"RF" = Rx dual conversion FM Blue Tip.
"RA" = Rx single conversion AM/FM Green Tip (or colour coded for 27 Mhz frequencies)
"RS" = Rx single conversion FM (ground use receiver only 75 mhz)
"TF" = Tx FM Black tip
"TA" = Tx AM Black or Blue tip.

This is the problem with the Hitec Optic 6, it sucks. I have one, and have had to return it twice for repairs with less than 2 hours of flight time. They start with minor jitters of the servos and throttle, then after a few minutes they get the extreme jitters. After a few more minutes, the TX completely dies.
This is an inferior product, I would suggest any other product over this. It's just a bad product. If you still can, go return it.

Hi,
Thanks A.T. for your help!! After a long time thinking I decided to buy Hitecs spectra Module and use the 72mhz band. But still got some questions about the spectra: does it really work with everything or is there a difference single and dual conversion??? and can you use Futaba receiver or does it have to be a hitec?
Thanks alot for your help!!

The Spectra equipped transmitter does not care whether your receiver is Single or Dual conversion, only factors are that the receiver has the correct own brand of single or dual conversion crystal, as applicable, and is on the same channel as that dialed into the Spectra module. Spectra equipped Hitec transmitter will operate all Futaba Single and Dual conversion receivers but not a Futaba PCM receiver.
SPECTRA Transmitter Module - Information
The HITEC RCD Spectra is a direct replacement for the standard RF module in Eclipse 7, Optic 6 and Prism 7X Transmitters and will work on both PPM (FM) and QPCM/PCM Mode.
Adjust the Spectra module with the small plastic screwdriver and switch the crystal in your receiver to match and your ready for flying on any channel you choose.
Special Notice :
1. While it is known that the Spectra Module works with other brands of transmitters that utilize a similar module case, this practice is forbidden by the FCC in USA only, as well as most sanctioning organizations and also voids the warranty of the Spectra Module
2. Use only appropriate Hitec Dual Conversion or Single Conversion FM/AM crystals in Hitec receivers. If you are using other brands of receivers, please use the factory recommended brand of receiver crystals as these are usually custom made for each brand of receiver.
Specification
- RF output power : 400mW - Modulation : 2.8kHz +/- 200 Hz

Spectra Surface and Spectra Air while same in size and appearance (except for the colour) are not interchangeable. Do not use the Spectra Surface with Air radios and vice versa.
Spectra PLL Module - FAQ's
1. Q. What is the Spectra module?
....A. It is a PLL (Phase Lock Loop) module that can synthesize any legal channel on 35, 36, 40, 41, 72 or 75MHz depending on the version.
2. Q. Does it really work?
.... A. The Spectra has been working flawlessly for the past 10+ years
3. Q. What radios will the spectra module fit in?
.... A. The 244(35,36,40,41 or 72)MHZ versions) will work with the Prism 7, Prism 7X and Eclipse 7 aircraft radios.........The 24475 (75MHz version) will work with the Lynx 3D and CRX pistol grip radio.
4. Q. I've seen people using the Spectra module in some Futaba?radios, does this work and is it legal.
....A. Hitec recommends the Spectra module only be used in Hitec radios but many are using it successfully in some Futaba products against our recommendation. The FCC and AMA do not authorize its usage in anything other than Hitec radios.
5. Q. My Spectra module gets very warm when I use it, is that normal?
....A. Yes, that is perfectly normal. The Spectra Module draws more current than a standard module theredore it gets warmer and drains the transmitter battery quicker.
6. Q. I dialed my Spectra to the correct channel but my transmitter will still not work with my receiver?
....A. Make sure that you have the correct 1st and 2nd digit for the channel dialed into the Spectra correctly. Also, in the case of the Eclipse, Optivc 6 and Prism 7X, make sure that the transmitter is on the correct shift (negative or positive) and the correct modulation (PPM, QPCM or PCM).
