My favorite 40 size plane at the moment (Chinn Yak) has a Saito .91 on it! [X(][8D] There's no replacement for displacement!

OS .46 FX.
Like it more than the AX line. I've not run the new .55 AX, but I hear good things about it.

Price to performance the TTpro 46 is probably one of the best buys in RC.

Interestingly... it says "Favorite engine"! Not the best or the best buy, the best for the money or something else.

Your favorite!

Well, mine is "YS-63" no doubt!

I guess most people's favorite will be whatever they've got -- so the poll probably won't tell us much except which is the most widely sold engine ;-)

I've got a Saito 82 and I love it.

I've also got several TT46Pros and I love them

I've got a couple of ASP/Magnum 52s and they're good too.

Value for money: The TT46Pro
Best 3D engine (in my collection): Saito 82

I've also got an SK50 (as yet un-run) and a TS56 (absolutely useless).

If you're a 3D newbie -- the TT46 is hard to beat. If you're a hard-core 3D hucker then the Saito is cool. If you like tinkering as much as flying then I believe the YS63 is a good option :-)

Default RE: Favorite 40 size engine

i got 2 favorite engines but went ahead and voted cause one is up there.

the super tigre 45. that thing is rock solid. runs good. good power. starts easy. very reliable. and to make it better it is cheap. but the one thing i dont like about it it is heavy

the other is the fp-ax.46 OS. i have an FX and AX 46. both. so far i think they are about equal. kinda hard to compare these though cause they are on 2 totally differnt planes. fx on ultra stick and ax on kougar. but i will speak for them both. they have good power. start very easy. kinda hard to get past the price when you see a super tiger 45 sitting next to it but you wont regret buying one. they are very light engines. are surprisingly easy to tune even with tuned pipes. i have not had 1 dead stick with either engine.........yet. well i'll reward that. not 1 dead stick with it being the engines fault. i have run out of fuel bit the engine cant help that. that is my own doing. but i will never buy another 46 la. worst engine i ever bought in my life. it was terrible.
