Dear All
Some excellent posts with some beautiful models.
It's a shame we don't all live in a Country called Warbirds.
We have had a good day at Colt, with Dibble in action with the P47 camera ship.
Thanks once again for sharing all those lovely Warbirds on this thread.
Regards Phil G.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Dear All
As I said on the above post, we had a good day yesterday at Colt, Dibble had his P47 camera ship in action again, so hopefully there might be another vid. The Eurofighter was the last thing we needed to test.
Everything went OK with that, so we are now ready. All we need now is the weather, my stomach
just turned over at the thought of it. I actually pay attention to it from now on in, it is a bit long range
at the moment but I still look. I will take a look at all the local weather forecasts on Thursday and post an honest
forecast on here Thursday evening. So people can make their own minds up whether (excuse the pun) it is worth travelling great distances to Coltishall.
Coltishall's 242 Sqn are ready and waiting, for the expected onslaught from the North of the cigar smoking Von JoLLy and his gang.
Regards Phil G.

Sorry Phil, the video that I took yesterday was not too good - on the later flights when we were flying together the lens gradually got covered in oil which made the video very blurry - now I know to clean the lens between flights!

Dear Graham (jetjockgb)
Will you have time for a quick drink Friday night, at the Battle of Briitain Ball.
The Goat Inn has Spitfire on tap, an excellent drop of beer.

Hi Phil,
Corr!! you got off lightly there, aparently Graham drinks like a fish!![sm=drowning.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif]
just a quick update, ive had the Hellcat running up tonight, all seems fine, im cycleing the nicads at the moment, but the Thunderbolt has a little problem[sm=sad_smile.gif] the engine runs fine with the cowl off, but when its on the engine is hunting, im going to take it and have a fiddle with it, ive got a spare 3W80 twin lying around, if it dont work il take out the King and use it as a door stop!![sm=teeth_smile.gif]
Royal B25 will be with me, but its unfinished, il have the electric fighters with me, they can be fun to play with!
All the best,
Di n Dave...

Dear Dave
Thanks for the update, I had a feeling Graham might be a good drinker (like a fish), being a Scotsman he had to be.
I think we should give him the nic name "Kipper"

There are a couple of places left for the Battle of Britain event, due to two people dropping out.
If anyone is interested in attending please either email or pm me. I have to submit the guest list tomorrow afternoon.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Dear All
I have just seen the BBC's local weather forecast.
Wind 12mph at about 30 degrees off the runway heading.
Possibility of very light showers.
Here is the running order for tomorrow.
Guests scheduled to arrive between 9 and 9:30 or earlier.
Guests must be escorted onto the Station by myself or one of my helpers.
Everyone will be offered a chocolate bar, crisps and a drink (cold) on arrival.
All Trannies will be frequency tested and held in our Trannie trailer.
A Tornado from RAF Marham will open proceedings (Subject to operational requirements) at 9:50am.
The model flying will start with Dave R's F16, Wren Turbine powered.
We will make sure that all our Guests get plenty of flying in during the morning.
Hopefully with appropriate aircraft together.
A one minutes silence will be held at 12 O'clock, for Coltishall's and all our fallen past and present.
The rolls for lunch will arrive at 12:45.
In the afternoon we get serious with formations etc, I might get a flight in myself.
3:30pm The Coltishall Balbo, World War two aircraft only. For those brave (or foolish ) enough
to take part in a large formation, I love the Balbo.
Flying will cease when everyone has had enough or it gets dark.
The Battle of Britain Ball, will take place at the Skeyton Goat, at about 8pm.
A laptop with the Battle of Britain film will be playing in the background.
Closing time, brings the days proceedings to an end.
Hopefully we will all have had a good day.
Regards Phil Goff.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Hi Phil,
Thanks for the great day on Friday. As usual the flying and company was great. All informal and totally fun! The 260m round trip is always worth it and I hope there will be many more.
Dibbles photography is by far the best I have seen in modelling. He has certainly missed his vocation in life 'cos he could make some serious money in the full size aviation scene!! He has the eye for the perfect shot.
A personal sad note is the rapid decay of Coltishall since the RAf departed. It just doesn't seem right to see it like it is (that should get you on your soap box again)
Thanks again

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Dear Mark W.
Thank you for supporting us once again, you always attend with some very interesting and well turned out models.
That Son of yours scares me half to death, not because he does anything dangerous or anything like that.
He flies so low, and pulls out of loops etc so low. He must know what he is doing because he did not crash anything on Friday.
Every time I drive on to the Station, it pains me to see it's decline.
It is worse when I drive past the hangars and see all the Squadron badges and the Station badge, what can you do.
Believe it or not we had done quite alot of work on the runway before Friday.
We nearly killed the strimmer in the process.
Thank you and all of your party, for once again making the long trip to Coltishall.
Regards Phil G.
