Default West GA or East AL Flying Field

Need some help in locating a club with a nice grass field in West GA, or East AL, along the I-20 corridor. Have a friend in that area that I visit often, and need a field to fly from. Any help in locating something would be much appreciated.

The Anniston RC Flyers field is just off of I-20 in Eastaboga, Alabama, near the Talladega Speedway. Its 50 miles or so west of the Georgia line. Here is a link to their website.

A contact number is listed for the club on AMA's website.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. I knew there was one over there somewhere. I couldn't get the link for the website to work though. I'll have my buddy down there try to get hold of someone.

Anniston is the closest, but if you are willing to drive another 20 miles you can come fly with me at Mahlep RC Aviation. We just chartered our club so it is not listed on the AMA website yet. The flying field is located just off US Hwy 431 north of I-20.

The guys at Anniston are friendly and it would be closer, but you are welcome to come fly with us.

Default RE: West GA or East AL Flying Field

hi, can you tell me anymore information on the mahlep club? I just moved to jacksonville state university and I found this club on google maps but there is no other information or websight. I actually went out and saw the field today 1/6/09, of course no one was there though becuase of the bad weather, but I would be interested in joining if thats possible.
