That I'm not 100% sure, because the MF2 has a different lenght dogbones. I'd also like to know as maybe I'd upgrade to these hubs on my MF2 if they are a direct fit!

Well if you get a used MF1 ( they sell cheap on eBay ), then you can use the tranny and parts to convert your MF2 to a standard transmission. You'd need only a few parts to upgrade the differential to the new CR model. And you'd get a cheap basher XXX-T that you could sell cheap on eBay too . Almtough not the easiest way, it's probably the cheapest way!

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
Yeah ive been watching ebay for a while. Im deffinatly getting at least 1 more. so i can put a slow motor in 1 of them and let my kids play around with it. Plus if I can get them into it that will give me more reasons to own more r/c's . I really want to build more than ride. Its real relaxing for me. Im kinda scared to buy a tamiya kit.I may end up like LB and just keep buying kits.
And I dont understand how the XXX trans could be better. But thats what ive read in a few places online. I had a rough start with my MF2 but know that ive mastered the slipper and the diff. Its been a blast. I geared it 19/90 for a few speed runs with my mm5700 and IB4200 pack and it went pretty quick. But as we all know that got things hot quick so know im trying 14/90 to see what temps i get.
Also I have to go back and look but i think there was a mf2 on ebay that had graphite rear arms with the new rear hubs also. That quick release stuff looks interesting.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
Hey how are you guys with mambas setting them up in the xxx-t ? Like throttle curve and stuff. I cant get any traction Tried the slipper and that didnt help much.
Im sure its because the ground so cold and theres leaves every where. But It does have a lot of punch on take off geared 14/90 and spins out with just a touch of the trigger.
and im running 6-cell ib3800 and ib4200s. So I was hopeing i could tame it a little more. So that it handles better.
And i think i should rake before i ride tomorrow.. Also im going over my truck and doing some cleaning and takeing some good pics. I should have them up in a day or 2.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
I set all of the settings to their lowest level, and the throttle curve that has worked best for me looks like a weak S.... shallow curve at the start, and little steeper in the middle, and shallow to the end. I wish I could limit the throttle end point. I also have my tranny locked as tight as it will go... I was thinking about taking the ball bearings out and locking it fully. Whenever I give it too much power, one wheel spins really fast and flips my car over.
oh yeah... get rid of those leaves!

I have the model with the losi sport esc by novak and the jr xr2 transmitter and I'm wondering if there's a way to turn off the reverse and still have full brake.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
Does anyone know of where I could get a planetary gear diff for my XXX-T? I want one because the ball diff in there now has a rough action, and no matter how many times I clean and rebuild it, it is never right. Again, I am looking for a planetary gear diff for my XXX-T. I was thinking of possibly using a Stampede or Rustler diff (they are gear diffs right?), but I am unsure if a Stampede or Rustler diff would fit in a XXX-T tranny. Has anyone ever tried putting a gear diff from another truck in their XXX-T? Did it work? And if so, which truck was it off of? Have you ever seen one made just for the XXX-T? I am just so sick and tired of fussing with the ball diff, so I just want a gear diff. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

from what i have heard the suspension are similar, but the tranny set up is different between the mf1 and 2, so the arms the towers bulkheads probably will work
