Default RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

Here are few new pics of my Volcano STX, got my OS .18 engine and few more parts that make the thing fly. Compared are buddy's of mine Volcano SV (almost stock) and my STX. The body is a beater I use for bashing. By the way anybody knows a good servo saver for aluminum steering assembly, I seem to go through servos a lot, Thanks in advance

looks nice, now post a video, lol. i usually get the servo savers that goes on the servo itself, its like double protection, you get the stock one and the servo mounted one, clermontmotorsports.com has them at a great price or tower. if you dont see them at clermont, email him.

I have a question about the engines. How does the choice of air filter affect the performance of the engine? And why do some people put a pipe/tube over the exhaust?

better flowing air filters means more air to motor. Motorsavers are nice. Also, the exhaust tips I think you are talking about are just extenders. To direct the smoke away from car.

I have seen a Volcano EXP on eBay. It is a battery powered Volcano, but when I do a search on this site it comes up empty for this particular model. Is the Volcano EXP a genuine Redcat product?

I know you will most likely be biased, but I'm trying to decide between this Volcano EXP and the Bonzer Cross Tiger (HBX). Personally I think the Volcano looks better, but many people think the Bonzers are great. Any opinion here?
