RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
Hey guys, quick question, before I pull the tranny out.....
I was out bashing yesterday, and the truck has no reverse. The servo moves the arm, which moves the rod just like it's supposed to, but the truck never gets reverse. Here's the odd part, even with the servo in the reverse position, the truck still moves forward. It's not like it goes into nuetral or anything. It actually makes no difference. Any ideas before I pull it apart? The truck runs awesome.

RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
I AM SELLING MY MGT TODAY TO THE HIGHEST OFFER.I don't know if anyone noticed but yesterday I sold my Redcat Monsoon that just needed a pull start and even came with a new pull start that just needed to be put on for $100.00 cash within an hour of posting the add. ( my buddy GAVE me the Monsoon and said do whatever I wanted with it, so I sold it for $100.00) Today I am feeling crazy again, I am selling my MGT with Big Joes, brand new LRP spec .28 w/drill start, all RPM blue arms, Integy shocks, RPM wing, some more aluminum stuff like drive cups etc. I fixed the grinding noise that was coming from the gear box, replaced a bearing, now the sound is creeping in again but it hooks up and hauls still. I am bored with nitro trucks/cars etc. I am getting into planes next. If you live in the Phoenix area and are serious about paying cash for this truck that comes with everything, and I will even run it for you first to show you it hooks up, then PM me right away. Whoever PM's me with the best offer by the end of today gets it. Make me an offer. If you need to see pics look back a couple of pages, I have posted pics of it on this thread before.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vans_RV-4 Homebuilt kit plane... Have any of you had the stock exhaust get caught in between the flywheel and chassis? I popped a wheelie and this some how happened. It killed the motor, pulled the pipe off the header, dented the pipe, broke off the end "cap" of the pipe. Is it possible to solder the gap in the cap? I tried the freezing method to fix the dents but it just made the tear in the cap worse..

RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
I have never done that, but I only ran a rear pipe for a couple gallons. I don't like the set up because of how crammed it is back there. The stock pipe is also pretty junky in terms of performance. I'd buy a LST2 pipe and header on ebay for 20ish dollars. Mounts on the side and will improve your performance for cheap.
I just gave away 2 stock pipes and shipped them yesterday. Bad timing, I would of gave you one.

Damn..lol..yeah Ive been looking for a new side mounted pipe. I have heard though that the LST2 header doesnt fit right ..is this true? what about using the FT side exit header with the LST2 pipe? ..Heh I've been messing around with AutoCAD and I want to build the whole MGT on their. I got the exhaust done..I just need a LOT of spare time

If you dont like that route and want the FT side header, I would go with an XTM pipe which is nearly the same as a LST2 pipe. because the lst pipe and header couple together with a 3 spring system, not a rubber coupler. The XTM pipe couples together like the stock sytem. If that makes any sense. Going the FT header and XTM pipe is a little more expensive but still fairly cheap. Hope that helps and Im sure someone else can chime in with their opinions as well.

The LST2 header does require precise bending to fit in the mud guard. Some have perfected it like member Bria1. I havent so I dont use the mud guard. Also, take a look at Snauty's mod.

DO it like the first one, not like the second one.

RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
What did u do to bend it properly? Just heat it up and carefully bend so it doesnt crinkle? Any issues with the starting shaft rubbing up against the exhaust coupler?

Here is a pic of mine without a mud guard. bent to fit and use the roto start. the LST2 header stock blocks the roto. So I had to bend it to this. I wasnt real confident with my bending skills so left it this way because I didnt want to ruin it.
