RE: Traxxas Big Bore
They are good shocks. Nice and smooth with the TiNi coating.. I dont think there are any better shocks out there, personally I would just do a 4 shock conversion using hellfire shocks or something[8D]

RE: Traxxas Big Bore
If you can find these anywhere I think they are on par with the big bores or even better http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHKB4&P=SM

I don't think anyone carries them anymore so that kinda sucks.

RE: Traxxas Big Bore
Well I was out Driving yesterday and I hit a curb wrong, I Broke my front left bottom arm, and bent both of the front shocks. I figured instead of just rebuilding the two maybe upgrade to the big bore shocks. I think that 60 bucks is a pretty good deal for 8 shocks.
Question: Would converting to 4 shocks be good for bashing? That is really all that I do, wouldn't 4 be more for racing??
More on the Big Bore Shocks Please, Good upgrade or is there something better?

It has benefits for both bashing and racing. 4 shock setup: Less weight, less maintenance, just as durable or even more durable (depending which shocks you buy), and less parts to break..

The Big Bores are nice. I have some, but I like the adjustable screw type better. I got a set for about the same or less. I just prefer them over the plastic spacers.

The stock springs are way soft too.. My bro uses RcRaven's dual rate black springs on his big bores and the setup is very good for small jumps... I have super stiff chrome dual rates and those things wont bottom out no matter what..

Don't use the springs they come with(they are too soft). Just use the stock springs. [8D]

RE: Traxxas Big Bore
[8D]Hey there, I have several sets of the traxxas big bore shocks and find them to work very well. Excellent quality for the money. Also worth considering are the progressive rate springs available through RC Raven ,RC Boyz (ebay)
