You get what you pay for... Save the $$$ and get a better ESC you can get one that will handle a VR3 NO problem for under $50.

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking about getting an [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLWY2&P=FR]Ammo 5100[/link] for my Vendetta ST. I would be using the 1/10 sidewinder since it's WAY overkill and I wouldn't have to worry about the ESC failing. What would good gearing be with the 45T spur ONLY the 45T spur I like to be able to get a new spur from the hobby shop and not having to order 3 on-line.

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!
Had my first bad crash today hit a tire at half speed (30-40mph) It went BOOM! The brakes don't work very well....
Which one will be better:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLXX2&P=7
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLLV1&P=7
Will the first one prevent the first accident? OR help it prevent? Or should I stick to the cheap one in case it does happen again.
I'm just going to bite my tounge and get the 3 set of spurs but which pinion should I get? Ammo 3900 with 3s 2400mAH 15C

what motor was that.

Ridiculous setup, but that's what I was going for at the time. It's a lot tamer, and more balanced now going to use that motor in a much larger doodad.

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!
Bugger, just got my order from Dinball and looks like I accidentally ordered a set of white bugger rims instead of truggy rims. Anyone here want a set of 4 stock white buggy rims? No tires, just the stock dish rim like here:
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=18479
Was sposed to get the truggy rims to mate up to a set of DTX Mini-Quake On-Road tyres....oh well.

JTNKTZ: I dont know much between the 2 chassis but the first thing i did when i got ST was buy the front lower aluminum hinge pin brace to prevent breaking the chassis. I think its odd that the truck comes with all that aluminum and they left that part plastic.

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!
First, thanks to everyone who has posted all the great Vendetta information here, it has been very very helpful to me and I am sure to others.
I have a Vendetta ST. My goal is to race it on a large asphalt parking lot track (surface is a bit rough in places they do put down sugar water) designed for 1/10 TC 100-120 ft main staight, 10ft lanes.
So far I have bought anti-sway bars front and rear, lowered the ride height with spacers inside the shocks and replaced the wheels and tires with TC foam tires. I was able to do a some testing at the ends of the outdoor season and the high speed cornering seamed very good. I had horrible time with wheels coming off and recently did a conversion so I can use a nut to hold the wheel on.
My question concerns the advice and reccomendations have given here concerning
getting Durtrax steel cvds all the way around $60+, Durtrax Ball diffs $50+ and a 380 size brushless motor (vs the mamba I already have-another $60+ for me)
When people make these reccomendations are they thinking primarily in terms of off road, and off road run on tracks with jumps designed for 1/10, and the stress from going over artificial jumps put down on carpet or asphalt road courses.
If the Vendetta ST is not jumping or running in the dirt are all the above mods required?

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!
I would say get the ball diffs for the adjustably. Only get the CVD's if you have a problem breaking the stock ones.

Where they all RC18T's or was it just 1/18th Truck class? I noticed how often some of the trucks would go big over the triples or that big jump close to the main straight they would land straight and then spin around and end up backward on the track. Is that poor suspension setup or perhaps they are getting onto the throttle too soon when the weight is loaded up in a strange way. Interesting stuff, makes me want to try some of my minis on the track. Cheers for the link jae.

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!
just imagine jumping a 10th scale or a 8th scale over jumps equally as big for their size... the same would happen.. the track isnt completely smooth either..
