Default Recommended servos 29% Sukhoi

I am just wondering what servos to go with for my 29% WildHare Sukhoi. I don't want to spend 115 each if I don't have to. How much torque do I need for Aileron, Elevator, Rudder?

Any input is appreciated!

You can use Hitec 564s, they are only $50 each. A better servo is the 985, they are $63 each. THere is no need to buy 5955s, they are overkill. Good servos, but not necessary at all.

Not necessary but at only $16 more a hell of a buy and very portable to a bigger plane later..

Exactly why I posted them. At $79 each they are a better investment than HS-5645's any day of the week and someday when the originator of this thread moves up to a 33-35% he will already have the servos. I went through this a couple years ago, bought the inexpensive servos and then had to sell them and buy better servos when I moved up to 35%.

You know whats sad?? I bought the little sukhoi and put 5955's in it with the express intention of taking them out and putting them in a bigger plane.. Wound up loving the feel of them in the little sukhoi so much I wasn't about to pull them out. Problem is I just bought 6 5955's for the 35% Extra 2 weeks ago... Wish TBM had a price guarantee. That extra $60 bucks could come in handy. That is twice now that less than a month after making a 6 piece or more servo purchase that they have gone on sale...

Servo city has a good deal on servos. And Tom has good servo packages on his website.

So the torque of the HS-5645MG (168 oz/in.) would be sufficient for this plane?

Thanks again for the input.

I am flying 2 different WH 28% birds on 5625's and have NO problems doing harriers, blenders, spins, etc.

Matter of fact I am flying a 33% bird with 5925's in the tail.

I would say yes to all the surfaces except for the Rudder I would go with the 5955 or JR either one would do for the Rudder! !!!

168 is "enough" for all the surfaces, but it will perfor bet6ter with more power on the rudder.

There's "enough" and there's "wowzers".

Just for now I have a 5645 on my rudder which I don't plan on keeping. I'm thinking along the lines of an 8711 from JR or 5955.

5955 will be MORE than adequate for knife edge loops!
